do these names sound silly together?

We have a dd called Nuala (pronounced Noo-la),
and are now really struggling to think of any girls names for new baby due in April. Literally the only one i can think of is Oona, which i love but think maybe it sounds to similar to Nuala. What do you think?

Hmm bit confusing!

are there any others you like?

Nuala and Oona, quite hard to say together. I think too similar and not individual enough for the second born.

Abit too similiar with the 'ooh' sound in them both. Personally I wouldn't use it - but ultimately it's your decision.

I wouldn't.

What about Orla?

I wouldn't.

What about Clodagh, or Maeve?

I knew of a woman with a Juno and an Oona and I thought that was a bit wtf? sorry, excuse me?

I really liked a girls name but was similar and rhymed with ds name so have decided against it. I was worried that they would sound like puppets off cbeebies

i think your DDs would get confused whenever you called for one of them, which would probably be quite frustrating for all of you!

Sorry, I think they are too alike.

i think it's fine actually

I think they might be too similar. I love Eartha, which is along the same lines but sadly it doesn't work with our surname.

IMO they're too similar. If you say 'Nuala and Oona' quickly it feels a bit like a tongue twister. Also it's likely that people would get their names mixed up.

I know of a Nula with a baby sister Heidi. Nuala is such a beautiful name it is pretty hard to match it. Lovely warmth about it, sorry not much help!

Yeah that's what i thought too but have entirely failed to think of another girls name that i like.. any suggestion? i would ideally like Scottish, but we ended up with Nuala because there are loads of good Scottish boys names but not girls!

I think they sounds silly together, and tbh, Oona sounds silly anyway!

Too similar for me and difficult to say together too. I knew 2 brothers called Kevin and Calvin and thought that was too similar too.
