It's number 32 now, or something in the charts. It's getting more and more so...

When I was born (over 40 years ago) it was name of our (v naughty) siamese cat which in turn was named after my Dad's favourite vintage car. Just a bit of useless info to mull over!

When he's born you can present him with a blank photo album entitled "The Life Of ... "

I have a 6 yo old Riley and live in Surrey. I am fairly average but the other 2 Rileys I know are from middle/upper class families so I think the council estate comment is way off the mark. Not to mention rude and judgemental.

If you like the name go for it. Some people love it, other people think it only belongs on council estates or on Labradors but your child, your choice. Not everyone is going to like any name you choose.

in my part of Surrey I would say it is starting to crop up more - and definitely not at the chavtastic end of the spectrum either!

I really like it but our surname begins with an R and I have a slight lisp and it is my bf's surname so we couldnt use it!

Very very popular. There is one small town where every third child, male and female, is called Riley or, god forbid, Life Of.
