Was in M&S earlier with friend and our babies.

A woman walked into the babywear bit with her daughter who was in her teens, they went straight to the girls' bit and she loudly announced 'this would do for a new jumper for Pledge'

Pleeeeeease tell me this isn't actually a name?

Maybe they said Paige?

Otherwise, well, they certainly didn't run it past MN first did they

Maybe they were looking for something to wear to a Pledging session? Sort of Guiding Promise?

Maybe it's Pledge as in the virgin-y thing.

Well the older woman had a very deep voice. She was a bit shouty and sounded almost like a bloke.
I just got out the way quite fast iyswim.

We looked at each other and legged it to the lift.
