Accidental Dickens theme here with DDs. Other clever people noticed before me and I had to pretend I knew what they were talking about .

I love Sadie, Talia, Isaac and James.

Well, if mine have patterns, then its that they every name they have one of their great grandparents also has.

I dislike Aimee - but like Amy.
I dislike Darcy too I am afraid.
I like the rest, especially Sadie and James.

Boys names - Liam, Matty, Archie

Yes I see names in colour and mine have a theme, or a colour that suits the baby iyswim!

Why I couldn't stick with the name I chose, because he clashed with it

Mine have 'U' and 'A' in them at the moment

I like isaac

Ours are all trisyllabic, and are early saints' names. Also we deliberately avoided both assonance, same initial, and rhyming end syllables.

All of mine have latin names so guess that is the pattern for us.

Of your suggestions, my favourites are Talia and Isaac.

Good luck! x

well our theme was 6 letters and an O but with dd3 it became 5 letters and the O.. and I have a real thing about silent O's (2 of my dd's have them in their names) one of the names for dd3 we had was Ilona and we seriously considered spelling it Illona simply to get the 6 letters.. she didnt look like an Ilona though

No pattern as we're still on number 1! How about Aidan/Aiden?

All our girls have 5 letter names and are all quite traditionally Welsh.

I noticed that MIL's grandchildren are alphabetical(not sure how or when I worked this out)

Me/dh have a G and H
Bil/Sil have a B and C
Step SIl/bil have a K and L

Very odd. Shan't be telling anyone as i'll look like a nutter!

DC1 has 5 letters, dc2 has 4 letters and dc3 has three letters. So if I have a dc4 will have to call it Id

Mine are all 5 letters with a double letter in - not intentionally. In fact I didn't even notice till a friend pointed it our.

More boys names that fit your pattern:
Aaron
Frank
Maxim
Harry
David
Edgar
Jacob
Oscar

My 3 DS's have an A and an L in their names and are all 2 syllables! Not intentional, we just like the names and they go well together!

Duchesse, early saints' names? that sounds intriguing. Lately I like Popes' names. Which surprises me as I'm not catholic.

What are your children's names? Can you say?

sasamax · 02/01/2009 17:36

Mine are both named after Angels.

...not sure why I used a capital A there...

we picked names that we both liked, only realising afterwards that DS is named after my grandfather and DD is named after DH's grandmother. My sis has alphabetical names for her 2, Adam and Bethany but has said she is not going to complete the set

Liffey- Benedict, Felicity, and Cecilia. (if only to reassure you it's not Ulfric, Theophilus or equally odd choices!)
