It's kind of cool at the moment. Will it be the same in 10 years time? Who knows.

How about Esme?

ninedragons · 25/10/2008 10:36

Esme is way better than Agnes.

Its not that bad, in fact i would say it is just as nice as Esme, its just a matter of opinion, call her what you want

Agnes is a great name. I know a four-year-old called it.

If you are French and would pronounce it accordingly then yes.

I am getting the feeling you are't though... in which case... NO

Liffey · 25/10/2008 11:38

How is it pronounced in French? AnnYAY?

I like that. But AGGnuss is disgusting

Report
Liffey · 25/10/2008 11:39

I don't think it goes with Alice and Lucy.

Edith/Edie is much prettier and more of a middle ground and less scary than Agnes.

MarkStretch · 25/10/2008 11:39

I like Agnes, but I don't like any abbreviation of it.

In French it's pronounced Ann-Yess which is lovely.

Please, no.

ChloeandAlfie · 25/10/2008 12:18

Umm... sorry, but no. I think it's the 'ag' sound. It sounds like someone gagging....

PuppyMonkey · 25/10/2008 12:21

I like Agnes because I am reading The Madness of a Seduced Woman...

p.s I've already got an Esme too...

I think Agnes is beautiful - it was my lovely grandma's name and I will definitely be using it if I have a girl

Inghouls2 · 25/10/2008 12:42

well it's a marmite name, but if you love it, go for it

agnes is very pretty, but sounds too much like alice. you'd be yelling one and getting both or neither every time.
