Very common now - as in poular. Loads of Scarletts and Willows. Try something like Clare or Mary!

Scarlett is a bit OTT with Atlanta. Are you thinking of called your future DSs Rhett and Ashley?

I think it "goes" but Scarlett is definitely much more popular than Atlanta so it depends if that bothers you.

Emerald Delilah

Ianthe Francine

Loveday Seraphine

Perdita Vivienne

Euphemia Gray

Ophelia Pearl

Scarlett very common round here. But does go, I suppose (if perhaps slightly twee with the Gone With the Wind connections). My DS is at nursery with an Atlanta and calls her "Ag-lanta" which makes me laugh. It's a lovely name.

I like some of Ladida's suggestions.

What about Topaz?
I love Scarlett (only know one) and Atlanta (don't know any) and think they do go nicely together.
I also like Emerald and Christabel. Both quite unusual (?) - I don't know of any.
I do, however know a Pebbles........maybe that's too 'out there'?

Christabel is so fabulous! In a parallel universe, I'd have had children called Christabel and Julius I think. (The parallel universe where I married a Lord that is). I had those names on my list but I didn't think I could provide my children with the lifestyle that would almost implicity go with those names!!

Topaz wouldn't be my taste, but I do like it. It was discussed at great length on here a while back. I would definitely use it as a mn. It's lovely, original but not loop the loop. It got a pounding if I remember rightly. Not sure why. It's in the same vein as Scarlett surely.

Scarlett is different in some ways, ie, not in the top 50 perhaps, but it's also very 'of the moment' and will date because of that. I wouldn't choose something so predictably 'of the moment' if you really want to be different. I'd try and go against the trends a little more. JMO.

Pebbles is too whacky for me! but I think Pieta or Piedra (Spanish for stone) could work in some families. Pia for short?

You're right liffey - Topaz did get an absolute pounding and it was my thread!!
Am still considering it but will probably just use it as one of two middle names (my children all have 3 names) - assuming this baby is a girl of course. I do actually know a girl called Topaz - she is lovely and really suits her name.
Pia is pretty actually. Makes me think of a very petite, beautiful dark haired woman, no idea where that comes from?!!
I also know of a Milan and a Marlana. Both pretty IMO- not sure I'd use them though, but that's just me.

I think of Gone with the Wind too.
