Isaac. It's a bit gentler sounding.

My friend has an Elijah and an Isaac too (wonder if I know your cousin VS?) - I love both names, Elijah is shortened to Eli (Ee-lie) most of the time which I also like as an abbreviation.

Isaac - it's my DS's name so am biased though.
It has stood him in very good stead.
(Like Elijah too, but sounds a bit too 'holy' IYSWIM)

"Isaac's a soft name/It sounds like a pocket full of rain'

Look along the top of the page here and see Useful stuff follow along from this and look on the acronym list, that will give you a good starting point

purpleturtle · 17/10/2008 22:02

I have a Noah and an Elijah. An excellent precedent, I feel.

Merrylegs · 17/10/2008 22:03

ooh, Micah is nice, if you're going all Old Testament.

(DS - son/ DH - Husband etc)

Isaac if you must. Elijah a def. no-no, especially with Noah as a big brother

What's wrong with James/Matthew/Luke etc if you want something churchy?

Report
purpleturtle · 17/10/2008 22:05

Perhaps she wants Jewish, rather than Christian, G&T
