I really like it too, and think Jonty is a great shortening.

I like it but spelt properly - Jonathan.

It is a bit similar to Nathan though

ok so Jonathan it is! am assuming it will be shortened to jon, or little jon (as he will be the 3rd boy) so the jonathan/nathan similarity wont be to much of an issue?

You could just have John, if you would shorten Jonathan to Jon anyway.

I don't think you can have a Jonathan and a Nathan, unless you're literally never going to call him by his full name.

I think I'd be a bit peeved if I'd been given a name that was that similar to one of my sibling's names!

Jonathan and Nathan?

Oh deary me, no.

Would you have an Elizabeth and a Beth?

Lovely names, but not for brothers. You wouldn't have one as a first name and one as a middle name, would you?

I love it - am biased.

We use Wonan as a nickname, as this is how ds2 says it.

ie Jonathan Nathan or Nathan Jonathan
