I don't think we have the same taste in names so I will keep my opinions to myself

Cordelia.

Cordelia is nice but reminds me of the character in Cat's Eye. So maybe Clarissa.

Cordelia

I like Cordelia and Emmeline but I'm not fond of the others, certainly not Myrtle and I hate Daphne.

I quite like Daphne, retro-cool.
Clarissa is nice, too -- others I'm neutral about.

Emmeline

Errrr.......not sure. Hate Myrtle I'm afraid - sounds inelegant and ugly. Myrtle the Turtle (what was that from again?)
Emmeline or Clarissa I guess would be my choices of the 5.

Clarissa or Emmeline

I think Emmeline is the only one that doesn't sound like something from an old romantic novel, and can be shortened to Emme or Emma if your DD wants to be normal at school. I suppose Clarissa ok too.

Emmeline is quite nice. I don't like any of the others at all, I'm afraid.

Cordelia.

I know a little Cordi, beautiful child.

Like Cordelia

Emmeline makes me think of that (very sad) Hot Chocolate song. Emma is much better.

Emmeline.

Please, not Myrtle.

Cordelia is lovely (if tragic ... King Lear). and I like Clarissa.

I know a Myrtle, changed her name to Anne at the first opportunity. The plant is nice tho.

Not Daphne, too Scooby Doo.

Not fond of Emmeline (though bound to be shortened to Emma, which would work).

Emmeline is the only reasonable one! It has the advantage of being shortened to Emma.

Daphne - too wet. All those soft sounds PLUS memories of Malory Towers.

Cordelia - not a very good omen for her relationship with her father.

Clarissa - very horsey. Depends how posh you are.

Emmeline - possible. Nice nod to the suffragettes.

Myrtle - no no no no no! Poor child. Moaning Myrtle, Myrtle the turtle...
