I've told you about mine, Violet, had some some disagreements, but I think he has been won round, but how about you?

We are getting nowhere over names. Everything I suggest he pooh-poohs but he won't suggest anything himself. We've given up talking about it at the moment. I don't want a popular name and all the names we had for our second DD (who turned out to be DS1, DS2 and DS3) many years ago are now really fashionable. He says it doesn't matter. I don't want her to be the 6th Isabel in the class. (All the other kids have unusual names btw). Don't know what the answer is.

Dh and I had several debates over names. He wanted Phoebe or Hermione. I refused as he only wanted them as they wer ships from when he was in the Navy and I wasn't naming my dd after a frigate! He couldn't even say Hermione properly (although insisted he could). If anyone asked about names and he trotted those two out, I'd add "or Horatio for a boy".

I am toying with the name Kyra Leigh, for a girl, not sure though but DH likes it aslong as they arent used to gether all the time.. I just like the name Leigh on its own to be honest and Lee Anthony for a boy... We have plenty of time though to think of more names.. but with both DD and DS by the time I was 3 months gone the names were picked.., with dd I was adoment she was a girl and ds got the name she would have had if she was a boy.. (DD aged 10years is Nicole Louise and DS aged 2 is Scott William Philip.)

Now that we know the baby is a girl we have both decided on the name Emma Rose. I just hope DP doesn't change his mind nearer the time as everyones already calling my bump Emma.

feeling like we are going to struggle third time round.
the first two were named afer they were born and although I was happy with them both, I didn't really care about it as much as before, so dh won!
this time I'm desperate for a certain boys name and dh doesn't like it enough, although ha not got an alternative. we have a girls name sort of sorted....

Two Plus - just thought you would like to know, my name is Leigh and I have always liked it -especially spelled the way it is - a bit different - but not too weird. It is not a common first name - tons of people through my whole life have told me it is their middle name - many said they wished it had been their first name instead!!

we don't argue as such, but we've both vetoed some of each other's choices, and no doubt will continue to do so...

We used to argue about names to distract ourselves from the frustration of fertiltiy treatment.

We're having a boy, and there was only one name that we both liked, out of all the names in the world.

So we chose that one.

We are having a nightmare over this. we chose a name and then found out that it has been really popular in the past 5 years and I don't want him being one of many!

There is only 1 name on my list that dh didn't cross off and he has a grand total of zero names on his list!

Anyway, I also want my maiden name as his middle name (it is an unusual boys name) but dh is going to take some persuading!

the only hassle we have is we come up with a name and then after a few weeks decide we aren't that fond of it. We have 2 dds - had no problems with their names and have a boy's name picked out in case this one is a boy but are still trying to decide on a girl's name.

It's a state secret LFN.

If I told you, it would rocket up the popularity charts.

Possibly.
