Expecting a dd in nov, already have a ds named nathaniel James but he's called Nate day to day.

Suggest a girl's name for me please! Dh has rubbish suggestions.
I like:
Violet
Scarlett

And that's about it. Neither of them 'speak' to melike the name Nate did though.

I really don't like alliterative names - my surname starts with Ph and is the same as a major electronics company - or hyphenated names like Millie-Mae.

I have asked this before but I've lost my thread as it's gone from my TIO

Help! Grin

I quite like Violet and Scarlett. Do you like colour names in general?

If so, how about:

Ruby, Cherry, Jade, Emerald, Sapphire, Bianca, Ebony, Rosa, Rose, Sienna, Clementine, Indigo, Amber, Hazel, Jasmine

Otherwise, I think these have a similar vibe to Violet and Scarlett:

Alexis, Alexa, Alyssa, Alicia, Ariel, April, Aurelia, Antonia, Astrid, Annabel, Annette, Asia, Aurora, Bethan, Bonnie, Catriona, Claire, Claudia, Cecilia, Clara, Cynthia, Cecily, Clarissa, Cassandra, Constance, Daphne, Eloise, Erica, Erin, Esther, Georgina, Giselle, Hermione, Harmony, Iris, Joanna, Juliette, Josephine, Kaitlyn, Lillian, Lucinda, Lydia, Louisa, Larissa, Leonie, Madeleine, Melissa, Miranda, Mila, Nicole, Natasha, Nadia, Ophelia, Penelope, Rhiannon, Rowena, Romilly, Saffron, Savannah, Sorrell, Saskia, Summer, Serena, Sabrina, Tamsin, Tessa, Tabitha, Verity, Vanessa, Willow, Xanthe, Yasmin

What are the "rubbish" names that your husband likes?

The 90s are having a revival right now...

I didn't say he liked rubbish names , I said he made rubbish suggestions. If you require clarification, what that means is he makes jokes and says silly things like Princess phillips like Katie price etc - as a joke.

Thanks to all the posters here - some lovely ideas. So funny if this was a clueless thread! I wanted to be Cher so badly on the 90s! Grin

I'm not keen on Scarlett at all, I think it sounds really harsh. Plus it is a Dublin term for being mortified, or embarrassed on someone else's behalf 'I was scarlet for her'...

Violet is nice.

How about:
Rebecca
Eva
Susanna
Eliza
Abigail
Leah
Zoe
Estelle
Hazel
Rachel
Charlotte
Imogen
Jemima
Tamsin
Evelyn
Alexandra

More lovely ideas - when you see them written down, it's much easier than trying to think!
I like Leah a lot - I think it will be middle name as I don't know if it's 'strong' enough for me for a first name. I am quite feisty and I want to give my daughter a strong name (does that make sense? It does in my addled head!)
