We are sorted for a boy if we are team blue.

So for a girl we have come up with....

Ginny
Zoe
Edie

Edie is the only one I really like. Particularly dislike Roberta and Antonia, sorry.

I like Roberta and Antonia the best, Alba is nice too and Zoe and Anya are ok. I only like Edie as a nickname for Edith, and I dislike Ginny and Elvie.

Like Edie as a nickname for Edith, and Anya.

Isn't Alba a make of hi fi? There is one at DD's school, and she is Spanish.

I like Ginny and Edie, but as nicknames with a longer, more formal name on the birth certificate.

Thank you ladies. It is going to be so difficult if this little one is a girl. I think baby will be nameless for a good few days as I can see and my OH not agreeing she looks like a particular name.

Ginny - usually a nn for Virginia and Ginevra/Genevieve (which I like a lot)
Edie - ok as nn for Edith though not hugely keen on Edith per se
Antonia - like
Zoe - like
Alba - I like this (it means dawn)
Roberta - ok
Evie - too twee as stand alone name. Short for Evelyn ok but reminds me of Mike the Knight's little sister ie a little girl name
Anya - not keen, sounds a bit harsh

Edie is the only one I like.

I know two little Ediths (newborn and 6) who are known as Edie.

Alba makes me think of the Spanish Duchess of Alba. Google her Smile
