A brother for Elodie?

We chose Elodie because we thought it was really pretty and uncommon where we live, and because we loved it as soon as we heard it, not because it was French, and now we've found out our next dc is a boy we're a bit stumped! There's no name that totally jumps out at us as "the one" like Elodie's did and our long term favourite boys name was taken by a very close friend!

We quite like the idea of a Biblical name or another French name, but we have a double barrelled surname so don't want anything too pretentious.

Any suggestions?!

Oh, Louis is nice, I hadn't thought of that. Reuben is the only one that me and dh have sort of agreed on, do you think it could be shortened to Ben?

It reminds me of the tenacious little kangaroo in Winne the Pooh Smile

I like James. Elodie and James sounds lovely, but it isn't a 'different' name.

Conrad - unusual but not unheard of.

I like Patrick and think Pat for a little boy is very sweet.

Elijah/Eliah sounds great with Elodie to my mind;-)

James is one of my favourites but it's also my brother's name, I don't think he needs his ego boosting further Wink. It's so weird, but Elijah and Elisha are also two that I like but dh is determined not to have another name beginning with "E" as we already have a few in our family.

It's reassuring to know that other mumsnetters automatically came up with the same combinations as I did! Any other suggestions?

Aaargh, 8 weeks to go and I'm still no further forward! Reuben is sort of my favourite but still doesn't grab me like my dd's name did!

Any more suggestions?
