DS3 now imminent. I've posted here before as DP and I find it hard to agree - we both like Roscoe but I don't like Ross. Would it inevitably be shortened to Ross do you think?
Is it terrible? It ends up being an amalgamation of quite a few names I like..

I know one little Roscoe and have never heard it shortened. Good name.

Oh I love Roscoe, I would shorten it to Coe if anything?

I'd assume you were a fan, which may or may not be the case but I think it works OK as a name.

Sorry, makes me think of the Dukes of Hazzard. Think it's horrid, sorry. Ross is ok though.

Thank you - yes we do like Midlake and that is a lovely song so good connotations for us.

I feel I just wouldn't shorten it.. dP thinks we should avoid totally if I don't like Ross.. Thought of trying to come up with another name at this stage too daunting!

I only heard of this name a few weeks ago, it's lovely but I'm not sure you could prevent it being shortened. How about Pascoe?

Thanks yes I love Pascoe Hedgehog but DP doesn't.

We don't have Costco around here so not a problem for us Zumby!

There is a big family on Hollyoaks ATM called Roscoe. They are always fighting, in and out of jail etc, so not very positive connotations. That shouldn't put you off though!

We had a cat called Roscoe. It was never shortened

I do not think that it will be shortened. but it definetely reminds me of Costco.
