Hi,
Have posted on here before as me and DH are trying to come up with names for our triplets. Going for a nature theme.
Already have two DD - April and Autumn.

Ivy
Skye
Clover/Clove
Rain/Raine/Rayne
Rose/Rosa
Honey
Ember
Storm
Terra
Raven

DH really likes Ember, I love Terra, just not sure how well they would go with other names.
Would like general opinions on names, and also which you think would go best together, and any other suggestions.
Thanks everyone.

Love Clover. Sorry but I think that Terra is (sorry) terrible.

Gosh not Terra- your dd would be forever known as terror!

April and autumn are completely different times of the year... Does that matter?

From your list I like ivy, sky, Rose or rosa.

Congrats on having triplets too!! Smile

Iris, Willow, Amber

How about Tara? Not a nature name but similar sound and feel to terra?

Bearing in mind that your other children have not too 'out there' names, I like Skye, Rosa and Ember. I would be reluctant to call a child Raven, for the same reason I discounted Willow, it is a name which may seem odd on a blue eyed, blonde child. However your genetics may guarantee this wouldn't happen! I really liked Willow but would imagine she would have to be tall, slim and beautiful and my genetics make that almost impossible Grin

Guess I'll be crossing Terra off our list.
Like Tara, but (Same as with Terra), just not sure how it would fit with the other names?

I only like Rose, Rosa and Ivy.

What about Iris, Poppy, Amber, Jasmine, Olive, Lily, Holly, Daisy or Violet?

nevergoogle · 30/10/2013 22:54

Tara means star, so I would say it is a nature name.

CountingStars · 30/10/2013 22:55

Isthisstormcomingorwhat, we considered pretty much all of those. Olive and Violet may end up being added to our short list but for the rest they've been crossed off.

CeliaLytton, Willow to me is a blonde/blue-eyed name, but I can see your point about Raven!

nevergoogle, I didn't know that, thank you.

Yes, I meant that I had discounted Willow because it came with an assumption of a certain appearance. Muddled typing, really should be in bed!

Oh I see! Thank you for your opinions.

Also love Tara and think it would go well

I like Ember, Skye and Raven from your list.

Honey is cute for a child but not sure an adult could pull it off (though I used to have a friend with a sister called Honey who is now, presumably, a fully functioning adult).

Other ideas:

Asha, Astrid, Rowan, Star, Clementine, Cherry, Winter, Juniper, Coral, Posy, Eden, River

Ooh I'm sorry I just saw your other thread and realised you already have daughters named April and autumn! They are lovely names! I just assumed you had two names and were looking for a third.

Glad you like Tara Grin I do too. I also like the suggestion someone else gave of calla; I knew it was a lily and have often thought I liked it as a girls name but had never heard it referred to as such! Off to find it on a baby name website!

Wren
Linnet
Stella
Eartha (as in Kitt)
Eve
Aelf

monkeymamma · 31/10/2013 07:03

Also

Gaia
Aurelia/aurora/Aude
Hazel

Btw I love your theme and choices - especially Raven! Don't think it matters if she isn't dark. In fact, a very blonde Raven would kind of rock!

Any child called Ember will find that everyone assumes it is Amber, so I'd go for that.

wigglesrock · 31/10/2013 07:56

I wouldn't go with Ember - it's a bit like dying embers of our love type country & western music.

I quite like the Raine variations, although I really like Reina/Rayna.

Or Rae - a ray of sunshine type idea. Or Neive - Spanish for snow - I may have spelt that incorrectly but you get the idea Smile

It's nieve Smile

I like Skye & Rosa from your list. How about Raina rather than Rain?

Fearne/Fern, Wren & River nice as suggested above.
Brooke
Robyn
Ruby/Poppy ?too popular?
Saffron
Fleur
Holly
Luna
Marina

Do you mean you already have 2 DD called April and Autumn and you're having TRIPLETS on top so looking for 3 more names. (Are the triplets boys or girls?).

Or, are you expecting girl triplets and looking for a single name to go with April and Autumn? (Personally wouldn't go for the same initial if I were you).

Luz (light in Spanish)
Rae is brilliant
Aurora is gorgeous
Clover
Rowan
Woody - Love this, for a boy

Morning everyone,

manicinsomniac, yes wasn't too sure about Honey, like Posy and Celmentine but DH thinks that is too baby-ish.

BlackholesAndRevelations , It's okay, probably should have made that clearer, just assumed people would have seen my other threads! I have a friend called Calla, so can't really use that.

monkeymamma , thank you! I quite like Eve and Hazel.

KateCroydon, don't like the name Amber as much, but mostly just don't want to do another A name.

wigglesrock , thank you, that gives me the idea to check out the seasons in other languages!

Grumblelion, I like Saffron, but DH doesn't. Neither of us particularly like any of the others, but thank you for your suggestions.

MerryMarigold, sorry have been assuming people have seen my other threads. I have have two daughters, April and Autumn, and I am pregnant with triplets, I think I said in the title, but they'e girls.
