All lovely, inoffensive and popular / common / normal so you can't really go wrong with any of them!

In order of preference:
Daniel
George
Oscar
Thomas

Love Daniel.
Thomas is ok

George is getting really popular

Oscar reminds me of a cat and Oscar Pistorius

I like Thomas best, then Daniel.
George/Oscar are okay.

Daniel
Thomas
George - nice name but everyone will assume called after the RB.
Oscar

(funnily enough DS1 is a Daniel and in my gas and air fuddled state I suddenly decided I wanted to call him Oscar, which had never been on the radar, but was over-ruled by DH. DH was right.)

I don't know any little Daniels. Know lots of Thomases, Georges and Oscars though.

Oscar, then George (although that will become more popular now), then Thomas (the only ones I know end up as Tom), then Daniel.

  1. Oscar
  2. Daniel
  3. George
  4. Thomas

Though no strong preference between 2, 3 and 4. Oscar way out in front.

Daniel and Thomas are high up on my top picks for my DS1 who is on the way too! I like them both because they have different options.

Daniel/Dan/Danny
Thomas/Tom/Tommy

I don't like George because there aren't any shortening for it - however as a name it is nice. Oscar is similar but I think some people could be Ozzy for Oscar which is kinda funky. Overall pretty classic names - your son will never hate you for giving him one of those names.

Everyone saying George will become very popular due to RB being called George but there was an article out not long after his birth about how royal baby names don't seem to affect trends very much. Probably because George will have always featured in the top 20 (same with other previous RB names like William and Henry).
