Temperance Grace.

Yay or nay?

ConfusedandDazed24 Sun 13-Oct-13 19:45:53

LOVE it!

filee777 Sun 13-Oct-13 19:46:49

Not a fan, sounds like a name straight out of Bible Belt America.

scratchandsniff Sun 13-Oct-13 19:47:29

Hmmm I don't think she'll thank you for that one when she's older.

piratecat Sun 13-Oct-13 19:49:49

not keen, Temperance just doesn't sound how it means iyswim

Rhubarbgarden Sun 13-Oct-13 19:51:42

Temperance is too clunky.

Oh dear. No, sorry but it's priggish.
Constance Grace
Verity Grace
both nice.

No. Sorry.

She will hate it.

cookielove Sun 13-Oct-13 19:52:52

I do love it smile

I like both of them and they go well together.

It's not nice. At all. Like most virtue names imo.

Sounds clunky and why would you name your daughter after the practice of not enjoying anything in life?!

Zipadeedoodah Sun 13-Oct-13 19:55:16

Sorry no :-( try not to judge but you did ask...like Grace though...gorgeous name

ILetHimKeep20Quid Sun 13-Oct-13 19:55:27

Have you considered Tabitha?

RunRabbit Sun 13-Oct-13 19:57:29

I like the flow but if she doesn't like it there's no good nickname for it either. Hmm.

Love Tabitha but was looking for something a bit different.

TallulahBetty Sun 13-Oct-13 19:59:29

Not keen. I like Cadence though, could that work?

Layl77 Sun 13-Oct-13 20:00:11

No! Very clunky doesnt look or sound nice and I don't think the grace goes with them both ending in-ce

RandomMess Sun 13-Oct-13 20:01:07

Nope not Temperance, sorry

starrystarryknut Sun 13-Oct-13 20:05:37

Cadence? How bizarre... perfect, plagal, imperfect or interrupted?

YoMamma Sun 13-Oct-13 20:07:23

I'm afraid I'm not keen. Reminds me of the character in Bones who is really quite annoying and shortened to Tempe which is hideous.

yellowsnownoteatwillyou Sun 13-Oct-13 20:07:44

I know a 3 year old temperance she gets called tempy, I wouldn't have used it but it suits her.

invicta Sun 13-Oct-13 20:09:32

Quite like it, although does sound very American

TallulahBetty Sun 13-Oct-13 20:11:50

Temperance just reminded me of Cadence <shrugs>

Disclaimer: it is gin o'clock in the Betty house.

NachoAddict Sun 13-Oct-13 20:13:01

I dot like it, I love Cathy Reichs books and Bones but I hate reading the name Temperance on them, it annoys me every time.

Quite like Grace though. Elizabeth Grace maybe or Catherine Grace if you want a long first name.

Mollydoggerson Sun 13-Oct-13 20:14:52

total mouthful, but if you like it go for it.

It sounds like a Baptist name.

spiderlight Sun 13-Oct-13 20:17:38

What about Talitha as a slight variation on Tabitha?
