Baby names

Really struggling with girls names, thoughts and suggestions appreciated

I'm 38 weeks and haven't a clue what to call it if its a girl. Hoping its a boy because I have that name sorted. I want a strong female name.

I quite like Frances - but don't like the nickname frankie and DH not massively keen.

DH likes Delphine & Cecille but I'm not keen on the nicknames and not sure if strong enough IYKWIM.

Names I had last time were Frida & Olive but I've gone off these for some reason.

Any suggestions massively appreciated as time is running out! (DS came at 38+2)

Thanks folks - still struggling I'm afraid.

If you were to pick out of Frances, delphine, Cecille, Frida or Olive? Which one would it be?

Ps I also like Ivy but think it is too popular. Like Esther but know someone who is very annoying with that name! Iris is likely to be a middle name. Also like Brigitte, Josephine, margot but DH has veto'd

Avoid Delphine because that's the donkey in Peppa Pig.

Fran is a nickname for Frances (not Frankie), but I really wouldn't choose a name for a nickname. Nicknames are formed with time, by others usually.

From your list I'd pick Frances.

Frances

I actually love Frances. The only reason I didn't use it is that I am a northerner living down south and the thought of everyone pronouncing the name differently to me, i.e Frarnces, put me off!

If you were to pick out of Frances, Delphine, Cecille, Frida or Olive? Which one would it be?

Cecile (although, just to be difficult, I would have Cecily)

In order of preference:
Cecille
Delphine
Frances
Frida
Olive

I met a Vivien the other day and keep thinking what a beautiful name it is :) I have a Frances and love both this form and the shortened Frankie. We also considered:
Bonnie
Estella
Aurora
Clara
Eliza

Good luck!

I love Delphine, would have considered if if I'd had a girl. What are the nn though, I can't think of any awful ones such as are putting you off?
