It's very Enid Blyton.

Good name, not massively well used, not massively unusual. I know 4 (50ish x 2 and 4 ish x 2)who are all lovely.

I've got a Robin! He's awesome! 3.5 now!

We chose the name while pregnant, my Mum wasn't keen but now concedes it's perfect!

Really nice name. It has a wholesome, Enid Blyton feel to it.

Report
UriGeller · 16/09/2013 16:55

Sorry, its always sounded a bit fey to me. A bit wimpy. Nice on a shy 5 year old boy but can't see it on a grown up.

I have a 6.5mo Robin. I love it. Is he your first?

I agree that it's a wholesome name - that's why I like it!

I think it will sound fine on a grown up. He can also easily use Rob if he wants to.

Report
KatoPotato · 16/09/2013 17:03

We based it on the adult Robins we knew, my old senior Lecturer at Uni, DH's friend who is now a Doctor and fantastic set designer and artistic director.

I do get some asking if it's spelled 'with a Y?' but they are mostly idiots...
