I love all the names except Jemima, I think I'm leaning toward Louisa Clementine but if you are using Ginny as a nn for Georgiana then that might clinch it for me!

I really like Rory but agree it doesn't sound great with Henry, too many r's all together. Sure once you're used to saying it you wouldn't give it a second thought though!

Not too keen on Rory, prefer Robert because of the Henry/Rory thing but both your mn work with it.

Love Louisa Clementine (on the girly side of things), Louisa Catherine (a bit more serious if you have to pick between the two) and Beatrice Clementine (great combination!!).
Like Georgiana Catherine (and would go for Ginny as a nn)
For me Jemima = pancake (yes I live in the US)

How about Eugenie/Eugenia, Constance (nn Connie), Antonia, Georgia?

But Louisa is far nicer anyway smile

I didn't know about the Jemima thing either until I wrote my initial girls names list, and that was the first name DH (Canadian) crossed out all "seriously?! no way we can use that name!!" He couldn't believe it didn't have those connotations in Britain. Shame as it's a nice name.

I think Henry and Rory sound fine together. Plus your son won't spend his whole life having his name mentioned alongside his brother's so it's more important to pick a name you love for him than one that 'goes' in my opinion.

I prefer geor-gee-ah-na pronunciation.

I have only just learned about the American Jemima thing on here.

I know what you mean about Henry and Rory but I really like Rory!

How are you pronouncing Georgiana? I've heard it pronounced Georg-ay-na (in that Keira Knightley film, the Duchess) and Georg-ee-ah-na.

I love Jemima, DH vetoed it on puddleduck grounds though angry

I like Rory but also not sure it is the same kind of name as Henry. What about Robert?
Thomas is also nice.

My girls name pick is Louisa Catherine or Louisa Clementine, both lovely.
Beatrice is too popular.
I like Jemima but would avoid if your dc is likely to have any North America links in life.

I love Rory, think it sounds better with Alexander. I like Jemima, but it reminds me of Jemima puddleduck which makes me sad.

Not sure re Henry and Rory together, too.

Like Georgiana Catherine.

Don't like Rory, sorry.

Jemima Catherine for me.

LIke Beatrice too.

Otherwise,

Rory Alexander
Jemima Catherine or Louisa Clementine.

Our choice!!

I do like Harriet and that was out house had ds been a girl, but feel
Henry and Harriet too similar.

Don't really like Amelia.

DonkeysDontRideBicycles Sat 03-Aug-13 17:52:54

They sound a nice collection of names.

Sort of along the same lines as Jemima, how about Harriet or Amelia?

George has been nabbed by k and w, so think we are settled on Rory for a boy, possibly with Alexander or Thomas as mn.

For girls still undecided. We like:

Jemima
Louisa
Georgiana (nn Georgie)
Beatrice

I want Catherine as a mn but also love clementine.

Ds is Henry and surname is monosyllabic.
