From your list, I'd choose Evan.

Really not keen on Kerr or Ellis.

I don't like Kerr and the "s" on the end of Ellis just runs into your surname which puts me off that.

I think Freddie or Evan work best with both your surname and your ds1's name.

This is your second thread?

I liked Robbie (Robert) from your first Wink.

In this case, Freddie.

Well I've got a Freddie so obviously I'm biased towards that!

My fave is Fergus

You might not be bothered but a name starting with F would give him the initials FS as in "F*cks Sake", no-one may ever notice of course, though I did.

Agree that Ellis runs into your surname, my choice from your list would be Evan.

I think Freddie goes well with your surname and your DS' name :)

Kerr is my favourite name but it doesn't sound great with Sykes

Evan sounds the best with your surname and Freddie goes best with Joe :)

Evan is lovely.

I like Fergus and Ellis too but the s on the end doesn't work with your surname.

Fergus.

Anything with an S on the end will just run into your surname, so that would rule out Fergus and Ellis for me.
From your list I like Freddie the best.

I like Kerr and Fergus although I don;t think either of them really go well with Joseph, I think Freddie goes best with Joseph.

Definitely not Fergus or Kerr.

I think Freddie goes best with Joe and goes well with your surname, but is too overused and 'old man trendy' for me.

Evan and Ellis are both ok, prefer Ellis of the two.

Blake is my favourite.

I like Blake and Evan, but think Evan goes best with your surname.

Definitely not Blake, sounds too rhymy with Sykes.

I like Evan the best.

Remember: don't just choose a name that sounds 'cute' for a little boy. When he grows up and becomes a man, he may not be happy having a darling little name.

For uour first son, Joe is good name, since it is short for the more commanding name 'Joseph.' (Common Biblical names are usually a safe bet.)

Out of all your suggested names, Blake is a rather dashing name, and the best suited of all your suggestions for both childhood and adulthood. Plus, all the kids at school will think it's cool.

Think of it this way: if you met a grown man called Freddie, Fergus, Evan, Kerr or Ellis, wouldn't you think them a little bit dweeby? Whereas Blake is exciting and fun - although I hope you have good genes: you have to be pretty good looking to carry off a name like Blake. Otherwise, John and Billy are the two absolute failsafes which would suit jut about every man and boy in existence.

Hope you have man happy years ahead with our new son!

Lol sorry for typos - that should read "Hope you have many happy years ahead with your new son!"

Love Fergus, dislike Kerr, others ok.

Freddie or Blake

I like Ellis and Evan best from your list. I'm not as fussed on Kerr, it's a very common surname where I live. How about Keri?

Blake is my least favourite from your list. For what its worth I live Joe Smile

That's not supposed to be Keri, I meant Keir
