Philippa Eve or Felicity Winter?

We're having twin girls, and we're really undecided on a name for our our second twin. Vivienne Gray (nn Vivi, and Gray is a family name) is a likely candidate for twin 1's name, and we're thinking about Philippa (nn Pippa/Pip) or Felicity (nn Flick) for the second name.

Which do you like better, and why? Middle name would probably be Eve, Winter, or Eleanor. All of them are meaningful to us, so not just aesthetic choices.

. Don't like "Facility". They both sound like victorian romance novel nom-de-plumes

Felicity Winter is fabulous and goes beautifully with VG. Prefer Fliss to Flick as a nn. Like Philippa Eve too. Pippa and Vivi are a great combo. On balance, FW. Too good not to use.

I like Philippa but not really any of the other names.

However if they are family names then the reasoning means more than the sound of the names.

I really don't like either sorry, they sound a bit too "storybook" imho. I do like Eleanor though, and Vivienne is a lovely name.

Much prefer Philippa/Pip/Pippa. I do like Felicity but really dislike "Flick".

Hmm, almost an even split... They need a poll feature on here!

I am a Philippa, known as Pip, and feel my name has served me well. I like Felicity, but have never been keen on Flick as a nickname. I think Philippa and Felicity go the best together of the 3 names.

I don't like either of them, but do like Eleanor. Eleanor Winter would be lovely. Love Vivien, but as you see I prefer the less frilly spelling.

Thanks, littlepeas. I'd be inclined to agree, but wonder if the pair of them together would sound a bit too similar (when said out loud).and maybe a little on the horsey side...

They would probably get called Flip and Flick

Is Vivien not the boys' spelling? I actually like the less frilly version but was told it was more for boys!

I think Vivian is traditionally the male version, but even that gets hijacked for girls Grin
