Baby no-name! Please help!

Hi all,

We are trying to pick a name for our new baby daughter and are rapidly running out of time.

We have narrowed it down to the list below but hubby and I do not agree.

He likes
Skye, Eden, Morgan, Amber and Ruby and I like Thea, Skye, Arabella and Beatrix.

The only crossover we have is Skye but it is not our favourite of each of our respective lists.

I may eventually post our list of 'dismissed' names but it is over 500 names long so it will not be today.

The criteria is that the name must be quite simple and easy to spell as we are fine with "that is unusual", but want to avoid "how do you spell that?"throughout their lives.

We already have an Oliver and a Leila and our surname starts with "A" so that migh be a consideration.

Any help would be appreciated.

We only have until 16th to name her so a rapid response would avoid "baby X" on the birth certificate.

HELP HELP HELP!!!

Skye
Eden
Morgan
Amber
Ruby
Thea
Skye
Arabella
Beatrix

I like Eden and Skye. If you both like Skye, just go for that?

If Skye is on both your lists, then I would say that is your name sorted.

She's just been called baby so far. Tried a few names but nothing stuck yet.
Have a load of names that we love but that don't seem to suit her.

Isn't Eden a boys name? I know of one that i teach.

I always wanted the name Iona for a girl but am blessed with boys. That's still a Scottish island if you like Skye Smile

Do you like any of the names we have posted op?

I think everyone has a wobble about the name they choose. I like Skye. Also what about

Tabitha
Jura
Hestor

We've actually ruled out most of the names suggested. While they're all beautiful we know quite a few other kids of those names.
I did like Elodie but dh was not too keen.

I think maybe you are over thinking it! If you haven't agreed on one in 9 months of pregnancy and 5 weeks since she was born you may just have to pull one from a hat!

How about

Meg
Maggie
Amber
Amelie
Nancy
Robin
Prefer melodie to Elodie
Iris
Matilda
Clara

Seriously 5 weeks with no name you need to give her anything!

If you both like Skye, go for that. Not fair one of you has to give in. Lovely name!

Skye or Eden ar both lovely, good luck

Last 2 kind of picked their own names when born. Didn't know what we were having so all names seemed odd while pregnant.

Life is all about compromise so as long as he agrees with one of mine things will be fine.

If you both really liked one of the names on your list, you would have chosen it by now. Probably easier to go for a totally "new" one.

Helen
Helena

Oliver, Leila and Helena - goes v well! Good luck and I am sure that it will be a lovely name whatever you choose.

As you both like Skye, how about Tanith? Means 'sky goddess'. Or Celeste? ('heavenly').
