There was a girl in my class at school called Aisling. She pronounced it 'Ashling'.

That's how my family say my cousin's name - they are from Waterford in SE Ireland. I guess there are regional variances

I pronounce it Ash - Ling. It is a popular Irish name. Know a lot of Aisling's.

Ash-ling.... The second syllable is very soft though

Thats the correct Irish pronounciation

I had always thought it was pronounced the same as Eileen
