Hiya, this is hyperthetical at the moment - just starting TTC DC2.
Went to Willows farm today & thought that Willow would make a really pretty girls name.
What are your thoughts?

I like it, being a Buffy fan. The only thing that would concern me, is that it is a name that only really works in English speaking countries.

I like Willow. I don't know why but it seems a bit of a daring name to me (but then I really wanted River for a boy!)

I have heard Willow a few times but for older children. It's pretty. Foliage names seem to be very popular, I heard a Daisy yesterday and we have a Poppy.

lovely. I like 'nature' names - River, Summer, Sky, that kind of thing. We would have called DD Summer but for her being born in the depths of winter! And Winter's a crap name.

Massive Buffy fan here too, so I love the name! I wanted to name our daughter Willow but my husband was mean and wouldnt let me. The only thing that slightly put me off was Willow Smith emerging and waving her hair and she is VERY annoying!!

15 weeks atm and its my name if we have a girl I love it, stop stealing oh and posting making it popular only joking I love love it but I am a huge Buffy fan and have liked it since I was 16

I love the name Willow and would strongly consider using it - but I just had the thought - I'm a pretty plump lady and...what if DD was a bit chunky? Or really tall and broad and strong. Willow just seems like it indicates a 'Willowy' person. And then I got worried about what the names we choose indicate what we expect/want our DDs to look like.

Not that that's a reason to rule it out

unami I am fat and if DD is fat so be it I think willow is more of an at one with nature name rather than an indicator of body type

Go with Willa - much fresher.

Willow sounds very light and airy and pretty but Willa definitely has the edge for me.

Oh, I agree, it is totally a nature name. And I'm with you on the so be it front - I wasn't saying that I want a skinny DD. Just worried that a name like Willow could make it seem like I wanted/assumed DD would be skinny.

It's my weird hang up and no reason not to use the name.
