Short names - boy and girl

Please suggest some short names for DH and I. He really only likes short names, and thankfully im.not averse to using a 'nickname' as a full name.

DD has a short name (Little Women), so I am worried two short names might be twee, but getting him to agree to Florence or some.other such lengthy name seems fruitless.

Toms out as DHs name, but really like Sam. Like Bex but sounds very nicknamey (in a way that Sam/alex dont).

DH likes Pippa! Thats one for the list. He also likes Pip he says, for a boy.

Ruth, Eve, Ross, Sam, Ben.

Right so it's really short names. On bex would your dh be happy with Rebecca if you always used bex?

Will have another think.

Could have Sam for a girl too!

James, John, Paul, Luke, Mark, Dean, Shay, Carl, Ross, Scott, Tim, Sean, Kai, Cole, Finn... Think boys are a bit easier?

I like Huw a lot, and Gus. DH vetoeing. He likes Finn but I think its too popular round our way without being a 'popular because its timeless' name.

Love Nina.

I think my type is classic under-used and not too out there.

Alice is classic, underused (in my area anyway) and short...

Grin I agree - its dds middle name.

IVe been cursing myself recently for giving her my two favourite girls names.

Tbh, I have a heap of girls names that I love (but DH doesnt) but am totally stuck on boys bames while DH isnt.

Lol! What is LTB?

'Leave the bastard' - a typical response on here though admittedly not usually over something as trivial as this.

By short do you mean one syllable? My boy short list is Toby, Micah and Angus (Gus). They are shortish?!

What about Drew or Will or Jim?

Seb is cool.

I think trying to match it with DDs name is a pickle as we could go one way and pick an old fashioned 'nanna' name or something short and cool.
