Long way off giving birth and have no idea if we are having boy or girl, but have started to have a little think about names. I keep coming back to Florence for a girl but don't think dh is keen (though he has had no ideas at all so far). So if I like Florence what else would I like? Generally like quite normal, poss old fashioned not too out there names. Not started on boys names yet!

One Florence in my family tree had sisters called Ruby, Pearl, Clara, Irene and Patricia. The other Florence had sisters called Mabel, Edith, Nelly and Jessie.

thank you for the ideas - zebedee it is then! did take me a while to make the connection

somuchtobits we also have a florence way back who had very similar sibling names - mabel, edith, maud, rose. born late 1800s so names of that time i guess?

we also like alice but it was DH GM name (so same surname) so wouldn't choose for that reason. DD was almost an emilia so like that too. i find it very easy to decide which names i dont like but very difficult to choose names that i do!!!

unebagpipe thanks for the boys suggestions - one of those we love and we already have Smile
