Chaise isn't a name. It means chair.
Are you confusing it with something else?

Chase is a name in America, for boys. Do you mean that?

Chaise is definitely a chair. You don't have to be French to know that, they'll learn it in yr 7 at the latest.

I think it sounds silly. Was there a character on Gossip Girl called Chase? there should have been. It has that vibe.

I think names like Blake, Blaise, Blaire, Chase, they sound NORMAL in America so I wouldn't worry too much if somebody has the name Chase. They'll survive. There are in all truth much, much worse names out there.

Grin I think of happy that's what I also think when I think of a chaise longue! I also think of Victorian women 'swooning' for some reason.

I think people are getting mixed up with Chace - there is an American actor called Chace Crawford - something to do with Gossip Girl I think.
