MortifiedAdams Sun 03-Mar-13 21:04:55

Tbf I know a fully grown adult Pip whos real name is Kevin. Lord only knows why he gets Pip but its to the frequency that most people dont realise its.not his actual.name and noone can remember when it first started.

SilverBirdie Sun 03-Mar-13 21:05:52

<<WAVING>> I do think Rowan and Pip is fab and could be pink or blue which is even more of a bonus grin
Got our hearts on a really old name for this little bundle of pink grin

shoobidoo Sun 03-Mar-13 21:56:37

Elsie, Clara, Quentin and Jude are my favourites.

Lovecat Sun 03-Mar-13 21:56:42

Ezma? EZMA??

You do realise that this is Ezma, don't you?

(OK, it's spelled slightly differently but it's pronounced the same!)

Sorry, I got no further than that...

FriggFRIGGisPoorlySick Sun 03-Mar-13 22:28:26

Ur...that's a pretty horrid picture of what I assume is a cartoon character with a similar name...

It certainly not the only connotation though, and if I have no idea who it is,nor will a lot of people...

FriggFRIGGisPoorlySick Sun 03-Mar-13 22:34:26

Artichook
I like your reasoning...

Lovecat Sun 03-Mar-13 23:48:48

You don't have the Disney Channel then, Frigg? Yzma is a major character in the film The Emperor's New Groove (and the spin-off daily series Emperor's New School). That was a flattering picture of her.

Seriously. Don't call your child Ezma. smile

BonnieWeeJeannieMcCall Mon 04-Mar-13 00:09:24

Luna and Myrtle are both Harry Potter characters with unfortunate nicknames "Looney" and "Moaning Myrtle" So I'd avoid those. And "Yula" and "Affery" don't sound like real names.
My favourites are Blythe and Clara.

Please don't call a boy Florian, Yule or Beauregard. And Rudi is too close to Rude.
Bertie, Jude and Rufus are fine.

FriggFRIGGisPoorlySick Mon 04-Mar-13 09:08:04

Ezra isnt in my top ten anyhow...

Yula and Affery are real names, they all are.

Florian,Beauregard and Rudi however are quite near the top of the pile...I like them.

And I love Myrtle.

LOL at Cookielove!
Is this for real?

mayanna123 Mon 04-Mar-13 12:15:20

My favourites on your list are

Ariella, Vita, Coralie, Hera and Eliza - beautiful, feminine and underused!

Alden, Quentin, Ivo, Soren (one o) and Artan - strong, classic and underused!

I really dislike Rudi/Rudolpf due to the rude sound. Florian is very popular in Germany btw.

FriggFRIGGisPoorlySick Mon 04-Mar-13 20:22:07

Thanks mayanna

And yes, ILike this is for real ...

Artichook Mon 04-Mar-13 20:31:34

I've been liking Esau all day so just mentioned it to DH (we are searching for a name for a boy due in 10 weeks). He immediatly killed my love by saying it means "exceptionally hairy" and sounds like "eye sore". Oh well, back to the drawing board.

FriggFRIGGisPoorlySick Mon 04-Mar-13 20:40:10

Oh dear. You need to get rid of lots of these and step away from your hormones a bit. Sorry but some of them really are bonkers.

FriggFRIGGisPoorlySick Sat 09-Mar-13 18:44:02

Remus I'm not pregnant,so no hormones to blame.
Some,I agree are a little bonkers, but most I really do like,we obviously have very different taste.
