I don't like it. I like Angelica though.

badtime · 12/02/2013 16:28

I would put it in the same group of names as Nevaeh or Princess.

That is not a good thing.

(It is fine for a boy with a Spanish/Latino background)

No, I wouldn't, there's something about this kind of name that's quite demeaning

I agree Angelica could be a good compromise tho, and then it could be a nn if you wanted

Really dislike it

One of my DDs best friends is called Angel.

Saying that, no, not keen.

Nope. I apply the High Court Judge test - could you imagine your daughter being a high court judge (or the prime minister, or something equally important) with that name.

Angel fails for me on that one.

Horrible

Conversely you could do the dancer at Spearmint Rhino test..

Angel is a boys name IMO.

Terrible name.

Anyone remember a character on home & away called Angel? Played by Melissa George before she got famous. Blush

I always think of' it as a boy's name, based on Tess of the d'Urbervilles and Jilly Cooper's Polo. Grin

No, anyway.

Report
Rhubarbgarden · 12/02/2013 17:35

Terrible.

No it's a boy's name. And also a stripper's name. Sorry.

Report
Snusmumriken · 12/02/2013 20:10

It would be a great name for a male vampire.

Report
Snusmumriken · 12/02/2013 20:11

I know some middle class hippies who called their DD Angel. They pronounce it with a French accent. I am not making this up.

Report
Sashapineapple · 12/02/2013 20:24

No. I think it sounds a bit cheap and chavvy in English. It does sound nice as a Spanish boys name.
