How many names do your kids have?

How many names (first & middle) do your children have?

What about you?

My birth certificate shows just my first name. I changed my surname via deed poll when I was 16 and I chose a middle name, just for the sake of it! It never gets used and tbh I didn't put much thought into it and wish I had now.

I have 2 names on bc , first and middle (and surname obvs) and a confirmation name that I use when I feel like it.

DCs will have 2 or 3 - 3- or 4 as I'm thinking of sticking the GPs names a second middle names as I love adaptations of DM and MIL's names (not so much DF's or FIL's, don't really like DF or FIL either but what ho), and a confirmation name. I might also put my maiden name in their names but I haven't decided about that yet - need to decide what I am doing about my maiden name first!

DS has three names plus surname: his first name, his middle name and a family name. We call him his middle name usually, with his first name only used on forms. DD has three as well, but we only use her first name.

3 - first name, middle name, family name + surname (just short enough to fit onto letter-boxed forms!) Grin

DD1 has two first names, a middle name and a surname. (She has had 2 surnames too)
DD's 2,3,4 have two first names and a surname.
I have a first name, middle name and surname (well 2 different surnames, one on birth certificate and one on change of name deed)

Three given names and a surname. But the second middle name is my surname.

Three + surname.

My poor DS3 has long names which are 9, 7, 7 long. Thankfully our surname is only 3 letters! Grin

Ds and dd both have first and 2 middles.

Can I show my ignorance and ask what a confirmation name is? Xmas Blush

I have one first name and one surname. That's enough for me - I've never missed anything. But then my first name is lovely and not that common.

We all have a first and a middle, but DS2s middle name is his dads surname (not double barrelled) as theyve got my surname IYSWIM

Dh and I both just have our first names. Both felt jealous growing up as most friends had at least one middle name.

Ds has 2. Dd has 3, though was only originally meant to have one middle name. My mum died when dd was only 6 weeks old so we added her name later. It means that dd's whole name doesn't flow. But, it was the right thing to do at the time and I hope it means as much to dd as me when she is old enough to understand.

I have a ds and a dd, each has first name, two middle names, surname. We wanted to give them plenty of choice about what to be called.

DD has a first name, middle name and then surname. If she'd been a boy she would have had 2 middle names, not one.

I have a middle name, as does DH.

Neither of my parents have middle names

My sister is: Keavy Chloe-Rebecca Cadwallender. Thats down to my Dad being fussy with names. She also has 2 birth certificates. Everyone else is the standard, first name, middle name, surname. Our little girl is going to be: Isabelle-Seren Tetsell.

DS only has one name, no middle name. DP is the same. They have a double barrel surname though.

I have one middle name which I hate and never use. Don't see the point of middle names tbh.

Dh, both DDs and I have first name, 2 middle names and a double-barrelled surname. I love names, and naming and could be restricted to one middle name.

They all have: Neutral Nice-in-English name, Hebrew name, Heritage name, Surname.

I was told I had First name, Bible Name, Heritage Name, Surname throughout my entire life but as an adult I've not found any legal papers (birth certificate copies) with the Heritage name on it. I wonder if it's the same for my siblings.
