I prefer Isabelle, more choice in shortenings smile

I have an Isobel, which is the Scottish spelling. Isabel is Spanish, Isabelle is French. So it goes without saying that I like the name grin but out of the two you've mentioned, I prefer the French spelling.

I prefer Isabelle because I would shorten it to Belle.

Oh and it's a very nice name! Thought you were just asking about the spelling not general thoughts as well.

Alisvolatpropiis Tue 27-Nov-12 15:44:34

I prefer Isabel.

Any opinions on this name? Which spelling is preferable? I'm leaning towards Isabel.
