As in fay-dra?

Hmm not sure, I don't hate it. I would probably say pardon if someone introduced them selves as I've not heard it before.

It's a bit like vader, so would have the earth vader theme running through my head!

Is that any help at all??

I like classical names, but if my memory is correct doesn't Phaedre have unfortunate connotations?

Thanks Glakit ...umm,yeah...helpful...

Y'see I have a list of names,it's a very long list...full of gorgeous names I've heard and jotted down.
I asked DP to have a squiz, and he's decided Phaedra is his favorite name, but I'm,Urm...on the fence...

I love it - it wax on my short list. Dd1 had a nursery nurse when she was a baby called Phaedra and I (and dd1) utterly love her - soy h so that I've already requested her for dd2 - no one else is good enough Grin

I told her how fan her name is - she laugh at me because her siblings are called really generic names - her parents went on holiday to Greece and heard the name Phaedra and chose it for her.

If dd1 wasn't so fixated on a particular name I'd still keep Phaedra as a possibility I thi k it's just lovely and v classy.

Ha Glaikit 1 -wiki 0

I would present dh with a much shorter list. After doing the shouting test of "Phaedra your teas ready" and if I can't see myself shouting it score it off the list. DHs can't be trusted with names! At least my dh can't. He suggested Brayden for ds!!

It sounds really nice. But she will likely have to contend with it being mis-spelt or mispronounced all her life. So, nince name, but maybe not 'practical'.

Yeah, she'd get used to it Wink
DS is Arlo, and i utterly adore his name,so I'm okay with fairly odd names...

I just don't 100% trust DP (with names!) ,as I let him name our DD1 and I've never liked it Sad

Tbh I think the length of my names list would terrify even the most devoted name geek...I'm surprised DP managed to pick one at all...in fact he even chose a middle name!
