wow that's a bit blatant isn't it! No attempt to make it even the slightest bit different. Are you going to contact her?wierded out as somone on flickr has copied my card art.. its wierd.. http://www.flickr.com/photos/hockamama/ has filched by her own discription my Owl card and russian doll card.. and i page two Vv pointed out a tree embroidery very similar to my poison apple tree... feels so wierd I'm not even that good or well know to be copied... and to be copied exactly soo odd and stalkerish

update : my silver art clay did arrive & I have been playing! Still a bit scary as you get so little for you money - its precious stuff! Will get back into blogging soon - I may start with a new blog as my old one is sadly neglected!

Not been about much as its been a bit traumatic recently - my dad died suddenly so its not been much fun. I'm Ok though.

Hello, I am a bad, bad girl as I haven't been on Mumsnet A&C for ages. I've had a few problems finding any motivation lately to make anything but I think I am on the road to recovery now.
Time always seems to be short (we've got a new dog so he has been taking up lots of my time recently, love him), and I haven't wanted to set foot inside my workroom as I felt an imposter ...
Anyhow, I've been making again recently and currently have a pile of WIP's on the go.

LOL at my attempts at crochet I found a video tut of a arigumi-watsit that looked really easy to follow - so off I went. The video ended up with a small circular 'mat' of crochet. I've ended up with a rather nice thumb warmer - it fits perfectly!! I'm quite pleased with it as it does look quite neat but it wasn't what I was expecting to get!
I guess I haven't quite got the hang of increasing stitches!

ttt - i've used a company called jj cash for labels a few times in the past, their prices have gone up though since then. google 'woven name tapes' and you should get some uk based companies come up.

Thanks! I've had a really fun night, made a felted bag from a scarf and an old necklace, and cut out lots of patchwork squares to make a tote bag. I'm really enjoying reading crafty blogs as well, although that can be more addictive than MN!

Hello all, glad to see LK that I wasn't the only one to feel a bit about Tony Hart, I loved Take Hart as a child.
Been doing a bit of dressmaking but no time for blogging for ages, lot of upheaval at work, my job is being done away with, (they won't make me redundant though, apparently they have plans for me). Which is a good thing, at least but now I have to sit tight and wait and see.
Have also started an OU course so that is going to take up LOTS of time.
So how is everybody?
about Tony Hart, I loved Take Hart as a child.Been doing a bit of dressmaking but no time for blogging for ages, lot of upheaval at work, my job is being done away with, (they won't make me redundant though, apparently they have plans for me

i need a new challenge.I didn't get any crafty goodies for christmas except for some fabric from the crafter...oo secret santa swap... though I may treat myself to a few things in the new year.. christmas was good and my handmade creations went down well so I am very pleased at that... especially as I made my friend Frizbe some handmade sugar scrub and it worked out really nicely so I might make some more for myself soon!

vintage- MIL bought the mchine on thursday (shopping day) at john Lewis... then brought it over here yesterday afternoon, made the little rice bag just before tea... gave it to MIL to take with her to put on her cheek as she has a toothache and it helped.. she was quite impressed as she thought I was only making another little stuffed pillow/ornament like we did as a demonstration and DS helped, and nicked off with the little red pillow for his vampire to sleep on. bless

)i don't visit the other craft forum anymore. one thing that always bugged me about it was (well, apart from the obvious!), their 'reputation' system, you know when people have a rep score, it was like you were being marked on every post, and yet some (not all) who had a high score, spouted nowt but rubbish, was more like a popularity contest imo

Hi everyone, not been around much, had quite a few ups and downs recently...mum had to have another operation, school seem to be pulling more and more support away from DD again...it's never ending.
We were away in Devon last week and I am back and raring to go...fighting hat in one hand and crafting hat in the other.

lucky for my my dp has gone to work - he's been feeling rubbish all weekend and well just grrrr and ds has been acting crazy but funny and very tiring!
real life sucks.. DH being a twat.. DS being "HellBoy" the skip people not collecting there skip though I have run 3 times... gerrrr.. oh and now the kitchen fitters have arrive an hour late.. at least they are here... have done a bit of embroidery over the weekend.. a robot for the very late robot swap... Dior thank you, am waiting by the post box as we speak and there is something else I'm coveting on your folksy but, I am paying for a new bath and tiles for the bathroom at the moment, so am limiting the amount I spend on moi. I am so bored with looking at baths, it's mind numbing, I just want a bath I can lie in (our current one has a straight down back and is hideous).

Part 6? Part 6? Have I really been away that long?
I've just been catching up on some of the blogs & there's lots of beautiful stuff. I got totally taken over by the Pratchgan but now that it's over (it still hasn't quite sunk in that I got to meet the man himself!) I have time to do other bits & pieces again too.
I'm still doing lots of swapping on ravelry (surprise surprise) & have been having fun dyeing & spinning my own wool on the wheel I bought a few months ago - I still haven't blogged her but she's so pretty that I'm gonna have to soon.
Some new-ish stuff on the blog - the wool roving was dyed using KoolAid & after seeing what it does to wool I have no intention of ever drinking it! I've spun some of it up so I'll be blogging that soon.
Main news is that I'm almost published - I have 3 fingerless glove patterns in a book due out on October 1st called Off The Cuff & am so excited

I have blogged a couple of mini projects I am working up for my friend's cancer charity craft stall. She is a ceramicist but also a FT teacher and has gone into full panic mode to try and put enough stuff together to make a stall! I offered her a box of stuff I made last year but can't find the box now, so am madly knitting and crocheting in my spare moments! (oh and if anyone has any proper corks (ie not plastic ones) I would be very grateful ...

Not yet, haven't had a chance to get ds to photograph me with it on, he's started his courses this week and they are a bit full on. He's spent most of the weekend compiling his Art project.
Am a bit fed up with myself too, mum's in hospital having her elbows and shoulder done and the two men of the house have both got the man hump/flu, so am not much fun at the moment.

You need to have a play round with colours/fonts to get it how you like it, jaz - what are you using, is it blogger? There are lots of blogger users on here (I'm not one of them though!) - post a link and they can help sort you out! (Miaou now retires having offered other people's help )

Tillyboo, (hello!!), I think they are a lovely idea, but I think the eyes need "filling in" to give them a little more personality. I like the scribble effect of the sewing though, very effective!

have added a few photos to flickr two bracelets.. one strawberry quartz and jade.. and the other is onyx and red jade ( it looks fantastic i want to keep it or possibly eat it as it looks delicious) .. and a pic of part of my fairy tale swap.. and embroidered napkin with the frog prince on... oh and a WIP a little ghost named Gilbert...he is embroidered from a doodle in my notebook and will be painted at a later date.. oh and his eyes are meant to be all black with litle white reflections but I didn't get that far yet..

Well I've been doing bits of this and that, kids back at school (yay!!), dd went back yesterday and ds back today (to start his GCSEs!!). He's 15 in 10 days time, can't believe it!

We stayed in another cottage a few years ago for my 40th. The little animals are great for the kids and the cottage and hot tub are great for all of us. There was snow on Exmoor last time we went but we were still in the hot tub nearly every day!

it was me, it's a little tricky but all is explained here
read the tutorial through a couple of times until it all starts to make sense before having a go. i made my own favicon in photoshop and then saved it as a .jpg. the tutorial tells you to store the image as a blog post, change the date of the post so it doesn't appear in your current stuff, i did mine so it is my very first post, see here
the tricky part is adding the correct code into your existing blog template in the 'edit html' page, if it doesn't work, it will be the code is in the wrong place or isn't correct. anyway, the tutorial on blogger buster explains it all, if you get stuck, let me know.
read the tutorial through a couple of times until it all starts to make sense before having a go. i made my own favicon in photoshop and then saved it as a .jpg. the tutorial tells you to store the image as a blog post, change the date of the post so it doesn't appear in your current stuff, i did mine so it is my very first post, see here

poor you Whizz - mind you we got married there in the middle of August, in a dense FOG. It was so cold we had a peat fire at the reception. You'd think I would learn my lesson and go somewhere else. am back from a misty, rainy, exhausting break in Ireland. I grew up there but even my bleakest memories didn't contain THAT much rain. Still, twas fun being away from London and shwoing the kids the countryside, in between showers.
Haven't been through everything but will be cathing up on blogs and everyone's activities later on. Hope you are all well and have had good summers.
I have almost 3,000 emails in my work inbox today though so that's going to take a while to sort out. Expect me back in December

Hi all - your new stuff looks good Tilly (have I said that I love your blog with the little funky coloured shapes - really eyecatching)
I've not done anything crafty. We went to a country show type thing on Saturday - there was a craft marquee. One nice jewellery stall, one run of the mill jewellery stall where I recognised most of the beads so we must shop at the same online places! and one mass produced shipped in 'jewellery' stall. There were no really eye catching crafts - all 'granny' type knitting & boring cushion covers.
Sunday we went to Chester & I finished off writing another Treasure Hunt - it just needs tweeking & testing before I send it off to the website.
I have gained another person that likes my Folksy shop, but don't really want to add anythign else too it - although I have loads of ideas for tiles!

Spent yesterday night banging away at the sewing machine, I have (nearly) made myself a top, went to put the facing in and realised I'd ran out of cotton and couldn't be asked to go upstairs and fetch some more.

we're going to go to colchester zoo on saturday if it's raining and we can't go to the beach. fil says the air show is on clacton beach on friday, so we might make it there after doing the trains/thomas thingy.
Yes Dior, we have been a few times before but I think I was pregnant with DD last time we where there.
It didn't take us that long to get up there but it was a nightmare trying to get make over the bridge on the way home!

Well the holidays have been a total wash out down here. What with DS breaking his toe and then the following week knocking himself out....and the rain, we have hardly even been out in the garden, let alone out.
We had one good day out at Colchester zoo at the beginning of the hols but my hopes are pinned on next week as DH is off of work and it's the run up to DS's 9th(!) birthday!
I am hoping the weather will be kind, I don't want scorching hot sunshine but DRY would be nice for even a few days!

To be honest I'm not sure - want to go camping but don't want to go if its going to be chocka-block (I thought bank hol was next weekend - der!) - would rather chill in the garden & drink wine in our gazebo!
