New Home 632, fixable?

I got given a New Home model 632 machine last year and only just dragged it out now. I was making a decent attempt at winging it and getting to grips with the machine but the needles stopped going up and down. The turny thing on the side is still turning, but no movement anywhere else.

Can someone please tell me this is an easy fix and you just wiggle something and ta-da! Please? Blush

Might you have somehow switched it into bobbin winding mode, which often disconnects the sewing motion?

I have a new home 611 that I adore! As previous poster says, I'd try to re-engage the gear, to do this twist the side turny handle and the knob inside it together (on mine it would be outer ring away from you and inner knob towards you, I think!). If not, maybe get it serviced? Costs about £40 but well worth it in my experience! X

Sorry I've only just got back to this, just spent 2 hours making a pillowcase, slowly but surely Grin.
I took it to my mums to see if she could give me a hand, she plugged it in and it worked! New technique for fixing sewing machines... Take them on a car journey. I think the bobbin thing underneath was jammed somehow and wiggled free with the motion Smile. Thank you for replying, I'm thinking about a service anyways, it's spent a few years in a friends nans loft so needs a little TLC.
