I would like to make DD a doll. I have a book with the patterns but I'm unsure of what fabric is best for the skin. I'm very new to this so if anyone could link to what I need I would appreciate it and send Wine

I use a nice linen or cotton....I just go to the shop where they sell it so that I can feel it's weight. Obviously you don't want it too thick or too thin...something like the way a good quality cotton dress feels...not stretchy t shirt fabric but pure cotton.

Yes...just consider how it will work when you're making the thinner parts like necks, arms and legs...feel the way it folds and imagine making a small part out of it. I love doll making....I'm not an expert or anything but adore soft dolls and especially the antique style ones.

I like to use stretchy cotton jersey.
