CHALLENGE - 14 Craft Projects in 2014

I thought it may be a good idea to have a challenge of 14 craft projects in 2014 - anyone care to join?

The challenge is simple - list 14 projects that you want to complete in 2014 and use this thread to talk about progress / issues / share finished results. Projects can be anything - small, large, WIPs that you've had hanging round for ages, any type of craft.

I'll set a sister thread up in Arts and craft pictures for finished projects.

Wow Bemused - I'm impressed you've already completed two of yours.

It would be great to see pics.

I contrast, I've got as far as cutting out the squares for my bro's blanket and laying them out, so they are all in little numbered bundles waiting for me to sew them together. I am not back at work until the 13th, so am hoping to get a good few hours sewing in when the kids are back at school / nursery

That's an ambitous list roguepixie - actually I should probably add learn to knit and crochet to my list. I really want to concentrate on doing more sewing, but also want something I can do while sat in front of the TV when I'm too knackered it is too late to get the sewing machine out!

Ambition is my middle name Bloomin Grin ... actually getting it all done is a completely different matter GrinGrinGrin.

Tbh, DH is off on a business trip tomorrow and will be away until the beginning of the following week so I am looking forward to lots of knitting time Smile Blush

roguepixie you've just reminded me, mum hinted very heavily at a knitted Santa beard and attached hat for DH and DB for Christmas...

It didn't appear so I guess she's as good at finishing things as me Grin

All these lovely knitted and crochet plans! I can knit.. just but struggle if I make a mistake and I can't crochet, I tried to teach myself but it caused so much pain in my hands that I gave up.. I've been looking at the round looms and wonder if that would be my knit/crochet alternative and if it would be kinder on my hands... has anyone tried one?

Excellent - lots of new challengees Grin

A lot of people seem to have sewing knickers on their lists. That one seems to have passed me by. Is it a new trend?

Just me I think! I've wanted to sew my own knickers for a long time (weirdly!!) and finally took a one day course in November... I now have lots of WIPS (work in progresses) to finish!

Ahhhh Daisy - it's because you updated your list. I knew I'd read it twice - just not picked up that it was you both times. Probably read it on the Crafty Plans thread as well (that'll teach me to read user names properly) Blush

So are they posh lingerie knickers or plain ones? Is it fiddly trying to do the elastic?
