Pfaff 300e Embroidery machine

Ok, so this is a real long shot but I'm desperate!

I recently fixed my long broken Pfaff 300e embroidery machine but the problem is that I can't find the 3d Embroidery Intro disc that came with it so I can't install the drivers on my laptop.

Without this, the machine is virtually useless to me! I have trawled the internet, phoned and e-mailed multiple Pfaff dealers and no-one has or can get hold of a copy. Hmm The machine was discontinued years ago and my only hope if finding someone who still owns one to make a copy.

So please, dear Arts and Crafts MNers, can anyone help me out?

I can't help with the disc-sorry. When you say trawled the Internet, and sorry if this is something you've already done, have you tried posting on sewing specific forums? There's one I posted on a couple of times that's the equivalent of ravelry for sewing. Going off to look it up. Also, Facebook pages for local seeing groups? Adult education colleges who might have the machine or students who have? There must be one out there somewhere.

Knew it was an obvious title-the one I went on was called thesewingforum.co.uk!

Thank you Ifonly, I'll visit that site now! I've been in touch with a few local shops and embroidery groups with no luck. I have posted on the Pfaff FB page (and sounded desperate!), now I'm on embroidery forums... The search continues!

Thanks Ifonly. I've just spoken to Pfaff uk and the guy basically said that they have no copies of the original disc and no way of getting a replacement so my machine is useless! Shock

Oh no! That's so rubbish Sad. You'd just think that a respected manufacturer owes it to its customer to keep a library of stuff like this. I know they must make a lot of machines, but it surely wouldn't be more than a small room in their factory to keep one of each. It they could store it digitally. N

Sorry- none of which helps you directly now, but still. Are you going to keep trying forums and groups? There just has to be one out there somewhere.
