I'm using up some left over fabric to make a quilt for dd's doll's bed but I don't have a single piece of batting large enough to sandwich between the two pieces of fabric I have. Can I use two equal sized pieces and just make absolutely sure when I'm pinning all the layers together that the batting doesn't move around? Once I've sewn in the quilting lines the batting should stay put shouldn't it?
I know it's only for dd's doll so it shouldn't really matter but as a novice quilter it would be handy to know for any future projects when I'm using up scraps of this and that.
