Hi I've decided to make <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=www.deviantart.com/download/151498323/ezio_sackboy_by_googlegraffitti.jpg&imgrefurl=googlegraffitti.deviantart.com/art/ezio-sackboy-151498323&h=1200&w=900&sz=309&tbnid=jzULYFyAL0r2nM:&tbnh=91&tbnw=68&zoom=1&usg=__G3AIh7kSwUB6-5x2tiicuN3pwyc=&docid=FPefOjz4-sxM-M&sa=X&ei=ifmpUO36OYSo0AXwl4CAAg&ved=0CCIQ9QEwAA&dur=3250" rel="nofollow noindex" target="_blank">this for DH but I am a knitter not a sewer really. For reasons unknown I decided I was bored of making knitted ones like I had been and that this one would be in fabric. I've got as far as making the doll itself here but I don't know where to start with the clothes. I've got some pictures too of actual Ezio clothes (the character I'm trying to do) and I was thinking of starting with some sort of big-sleeved shirt.

Does anyone know where I could possibly get a (free or cheap) pattern for a shirt for a doll or teddy that I could adapt? Any other suggestions or advice would also be fantastic.

Wow kitty the doll you have made is fantastic. You have certainly chosen an advanced project.

Thank you FushiaFernica I'm quite proud of it as it's not my usual type of craft. I'm just stuck on how to do all the clothes. Advanced is definitely the word for it Grin I didn't realise how tricky it would be until I started. It took me weeks to get this far.

Wow, your Sack boy looks great. Smile
I have made clothes for my ds's sack boy before by taking his measurements as I would if I were looking to make real clothes.
He has lots of layers and accessories. I would start by using newspaper to make the collar and the waist band for example, using Sack boy as a model. He'll be much more compliant than a wriggly child.

[[A big sleeved shirt is a good base.

He looks great. Well done!

Oh, I am trying to look for instructions for piecing the shirt together..

instructions

You can use Sack boys measurements. I hope that the instructions are clear. There were plenty of pictures along the way.

The first link doesn't work. The instructions have a picture of the shirt with them.

I hope this helps.

Thank you Coro that's brilliant. I couldn't find anything like that and it's just what I had in mind.

I'll see how I get on with it tonight. Thanks again.

I look forward to seeing the finished result! I will have to keep the picture away from ds though.
