Dh has bought this for me and I've no idea where to start. Does anyone else have it. Can you give me any clues as to how it works or where I can find tutorials for it. Also is Photoshop and Image ready one and the same or are they different programs. So far I've opened a picture and done the wand thing. Plus dh has shown me how the layers work but I've yet to sort it out myself. Just a few clues as to its capabilities would be good then I can have a play myself
TIA

Hi PF
I'm no expert on adobe because for ease I use Microsoft Paint and Corel Draw. I use to use Corel Draw [similar software to Adobe] years ago in my job. I found that by playing about and experimenting was the best way to learn. You can't do any harm it's just a design package to play about with and alter an images, photos etc.
I found this through Google search have a look

Cheers Caroline. I may have bitten off more than I can chew here- this seems to be a very sophisticated package and is all singing all dancing. I spose its just time until i get used to it. I worked out dreamwearer and spose i can o the same here. it's just the time aspect really

anyway better go and play

Have a look for a night class. I have photoshop pro and need my sis to help me through all the adjustments etc as its a very detailed package....she is a computer whizz who writes photography programmes for Kodak etc.
Night school classes start for me after easter

What sorts of things can you do with the pro?(think the cs is similar to the pro)

I've sorted out the blemish removal (yipee no more spots for me), background, burnishing and lightening. Need to work on the layering next

Pretty much anything I want to....layering, blending, adding text....chopping peoples heads off and adding different bodies...you know the normal sort of thing you can do in PSP.
Its just a case of sitting and playing but im going on the course as i want to learn all I can....you can do so much with the package and its seems a shame not to learn how to use it all.

I know but i can't spare the time to go on a course that's why I fancy doing something online. It IS a fantastic package but it's all I can do to get dh to have dd when I do supply work- can't see him having her for me to go on a course

We've just got a new computer and have photoshop on it so I'm going to be trying to get to grips with it too. Good idea about classes tho might have to look out for some. Hoping to find some digital photography classes as well. Keep us posted if you find out any good tricks!!!
