My first ever scrapbook page!

here

It is the first of two pages about DD's baptism.

I did use some idea from a booklet I had, but adapted it to fit my 2 (was originally for 1) photos, and my bits and pieces. I need to practise my handwriting, but didn't really now how to print onto the little tags I had. As not too much writing I hope it doesn't matter too much.

Main thing is I really enjoyed doing it. Was greatto do and can't believe I have just whiled away a good 1.5-2 hours on one page, completely switched off from the rest of the world.

Thanks I had fun!

My hands have stopped shaking ever time I pick up some form of cutter now at least. So scared of spoiling all my lovely papers!!!

Thank you.

DD is very girly and always has been. This album is about her first year, so has to be pink, flowery and pretty I think!

Dh is going to not be very happy with some of the scrapbook fans I know from here - he is soon realising this could cost him a fortune. LOL!!!

tangerinecath - glad they came through okay.

Done a very simple title page for my album now, with just one single picture of DD shortly after she was born. Taking me back to when she was so tiny

That's a really good one Hulababy, I'm jealous that it was only your first ever one, I tried my luck the other week with my first scrapbooking page, and it's a right bodge. I ended up with glue everywhere, all over my fave photos as well.

Hulababy · 15/02/2006 18:05

I do have glue all over my fingers. I did pinch one of DD's glue spreaders to stop me getting glue everywhere on my photos though.

I wa pleased that I managed (on the title page) to do some paper tearing. I remembered a tip I have read somewhere to use a paintbrush (yes - another "borrow" from DD!) and water - and it worked. I was very impressed! LOL!
