I like the look of those kits, MrsF. I was supposed to be going today but ds1 is off school with some kind of virus and atm I'm stuck in the house.

I must confess that I've just been doing some glueing and sticking with ds1 and ds2. It's addictive. Even ds1 has managed to work up the energy to join in.

hausfrau...did you have the set with loads of large sheets of corregated/bumpy card...with gold stars printed on both sides...??

i ended up buying 1 set 4 me...1 set for my son (then pinched half of it for me!)...and i just bought the 3rd to give the school.

the craft day they are having is 2 sessions...9-11 for my 6 yrold...and then 1-3 for my 9 yrold.... i'm plucking up the courage to ask to stay ALL day...have my lunch at school...and volunteer to help set up and clear up etc....i love 'glueing and sticking' so much!!!

COPPERTOP....really...though i do want more...i ought to say NO....but part pf me fels i should have as many packs as possible...but then again...i have to stop somewhere...would i have 100 packs...well er.... yes....i would....and say you had gone there today and got me 3 packs...well i'd have 6...and therefore my OCD logic is that if you are going there...and there is an odd pack floating around....then 1 more pack makes 4...not 6 ...so plausable....
....however......catj said the postage aws £7 for the 3 packs....so really...i'm being daft to ask for more...

in wikinsons a while back i was THRILLED when i got a pack of 100 assorted A4 sheets of paper and card....and when i got home found to my delight that there were only 20 naff sheets....the rest were either that 'leather' textured RED card (christmas cards!!!) cream 'parchment/scroll' type paper...which i have used for inserts.....and some thick paper that was very textured...but still printed well...but also perfect for writing on with my caligraphy pen...

oooooooo not into cardmaking, but I could be tempted I have a Lidl near me, I'm going there tomorrow to get some and have a bash at this cardmaking lark, anyone else want any while I am there???

sparkly....i know i haven't actually seen this pack yet...but when i heard UCM mention VELUMS...i knew it was good!
loads of card kits in wilinsons etc for £3..but all you get is about 4 cards....and though some are quite pretty...they are rather 'this is all you can make with this stuff' as the colours are rather limited...whereas from what i can see on the lidl stuff...looks like there are many colurs...and tones...mix'n'match to your hearts content!!!

sparkley...if you do get it.... aslo buy a roll od double sided tape...as he pack includes glue...which actually tends to warp the cards....and you don't want that!!!
the glue is great for small bits...but i once glued all round the edge of a large patterend piec of paper...stuck it on the card....came back to find it looking like i'd screwed it up...so bear that in mind if you use the glitter in the pack...be sparing with the glue!!!
