Antenatal tests

High risk for t13&18, very low hCG and PAPP-A, and heart issue. Any similar circumstances?

I am 36 and 14 weeks pregnant. I've currently been given 1:4 chance of trisomy 13 or 18, based on normal NT scan, but hCG and PAPP-A were both at 0.1 MoM. I'm having a CVS on Thursday. The scan also picked up reverse flow in the ductus venosus (I think a valve of the heart?). It all sounds very negative....if the CVS comes back clear then we're left with the possibility of placenta or growth or cardiac issues. I'd be very interested to hear from others in similar circumstances, and what the outcome was, good or bad. Thanks. Xx

(I added this to the end of an old post but not sure I'll get any replies. So am re-posting as new thread, hope that's ok).

My DS had reverse flow in ductus venosus, but normal blood markers and normal NT. I was 36 at the time, and the combined risk for Down syndrome wad 1:7, slightly better for other trisomies. I had a clean CVS and he is perfectly healthy 18 months old now. Heart issues resolved by 20 weeks scan.
It is very worrying time and I really hope you are as lucky as we were and everything resolves fine. Take care!

Thanks, that's very kind of you. The results were inconclusive unfortunately. They found trisomy 18, but only in some of the cells, not all of them. So they can't say at this stage whether the baby has it or not, as it may have developed from the good cells or the bad cells. They need to do a full karyotype which will take another 10 days, and we have a appt on Friday to discuss the results in full. I was really hoping for hopeful news, but it's just more waiting. Waiting for the call today was agony.

We've just received the call to say our baby has Edwards. We are heartbroken.
