Growth scans

Hi all,

We have our first growth scan on Friday (28 week scan). What should we expect? Our last few scan experiences have been horrific, so am already working myself up into a frenzy. They are very concerned about her femurs (3rd percentile at 22 weeks).
Although we had a clear Amnio at 24 weeks, I really have concerns about Dwarfism (don't think they test for this or skeletal dysplasia in Amnio?) Any advice would be so appreciated. This thread helped me so much through our amnio/cleft diagnosis.

Hi, sorry I cant offer any information on your particular circumstances but I am having growth scans the sonographer was very quick and took all the measurements she needed we then saw a consultant after who interpreted the measurements and plotted them on our growth chart.
I hope it all goes well for you.

I had many many growth scans. They are relevant, but not infallible. I was having them at 2 different hospitals the same week, and getting conflicting results. Try not to worry. Apart from anything else, someone has to be on the lower percentiles, that's why they are there.
