Amnio for Toxoplasmosis....

Has anyone had an Amnio to test whether or not a toxoplasmosis infection has spread to the baby? I'm at 18.5 weeks and scheduled for one tomorrow following a toxo infection estimated at 8 weeks. Was hoping someone had some happy outcomes to tell me.... x

Have they found any signs if abnormalities in the baby? I had an amino done because of brain issues and one of the causes could have been toxoplasmosis. The amino tested negative for everything which was good in one way but unfortunately we still didn't have a good ending for our baby. I'm crossing my fingers and toes for you that your test comes out good. Mx

We had an anomaly asan at 17 weeks which showed everything to be normal but apparently that's not enough to rely on at this stage.... Sad

Hello - hope that everything went well with your amnio. I had one too as also contracted toxo in my first trimester. It is a very worrying time and I'll keep everything crossed that you have a happy outcome, as I did (eventually!). Good that your anomaly scan was normal :)
