I have an 18 month old ds and a 8 week old dd. I have had issues with my mil for a few years prior to having children but since the birth of my son its become worse. I have an overwhelming feeling of hate towards her. I dont her to touch or hold my children, I dont want to see her or be in my house. My partner trys to understand but also want his mum to have a relationship with her grandchildren. if we have a meet up planned I worry about it for days before and feel sick.
My health visitor came over last week and asked me if I get on with my partners family so I explained and got quite upset. She told me its not normal and to see a doctor. I cant work out if I do indeed have a problem or its just as simple as not liking my mil.
Has anyone eles felt like this? And what did you do about it? Im scared to go to the doctors and open up about it in case its nothing and I waste her time. The hv is coming back around in 2 weeks to "check" on me.
