Wheeee! New thread - it's so spacious in here! smile

Having cried-off trip to in-laws, I lined myself up with some yummy food + Netflix for the evening. Fell asleep within about 5 mins of sitting on sofa and have only just woken up! Oh well - obviously needed sleep more than a tub of taramasalata and The Killing.

ItsAlwaysBetterOnHoliday Sat 01-Mar-14 04:40:18

New thread! Thanks lemon. Awake at 4am for the fifth day in a row. Sigh.

At least the baby seems to be enjoying himself - bouncing around all over the place. Well - either that or he's got the hiccups.

NancyinCali Sat 01-Mar-14 05:24:09

Wish I was blooming like in the thread title. More like blooming tired grin. Anyway, just marking place, off to bed for me now.

NancyinCali Sat 01-Mar-14 05:25:10

PS thank you for new thread and sorry you're all awake at silly o'clock.

icklekid Sat 01-Mar-14 05:46:15

nancy I thought the same when saw thread title!

plate I don't blame you crying off I would have done the same and probably actually cried! Mmm tamasalata may need to pop to the shops today

blue also tempted to buy and hide from dh but I'm watching items like pushchairs on ebay and they are slightly to big and expensive to hide!!! Maybe should start smaller!

jaykay987 Sat 01-Mar-14 07:42:32

I'm another in the blooming tired camp! 23+4 and still waiting for my second trimester glow!

oo00PIXIE00oo Sat 01-Mar-14 07:42:52

Marking my place thank you lemon

Am 20 weeks today and scan on Wednesday - hoping we follow the blue trend as feeling a bit ganged up on smile me and DH have three DDs between us from previous relationships and both being 44 this has to be our last opportunity.

I cant seem to keep my eyes open past 8pm last three nights have sat down to watch tv in the evening and found myself waking up with the work alarm at 6 shock

We have had some great eBay bargains in the last couple of weeks - silver cross travel system including car seat and covers £35, Papasan Fisher Price swing cradle with projector £82 (by far my favourite purchase) and a tatty teddy cot bed for £52 just looking out for a Moses basket n and I think that's the big things done smile

BlueC2 Sat 01-Mar-14 08:21:12

Morning all! Shiny new thread thanks lemon smile

Wish I could have a nice sleep without it being scattered with weird dreams which always include one with something horrid happening to DS sad

Could happily sleep for most of the day but that's clearly not possible! DS very awake!

Happy Saturday all-and start of another new month-March already how did that happen?!

talulahbelle Sat 01-Mar-14 10:16:52

Thanks for the thread lemon
I am looking round my house at all the cleaning and tidying to do.. and planning a wander to the shops to buy chocolate instead. Got to get my priorities right.
4 months time and our babies will be on their way!

MrsB2013 Sat 01-Mar-14 10:23:57

Thanks for starting a new thread lemon

I'm feeling proper kicks now smile even DH could feel it last night. 22+4 now and really starting to worry that we wont be ready for when he arrives!

Thanks MrsB smile

coco808 Sat 01-Mar-14 11:02:14

awww that's lovely MrsB, my kicks aren't very strong yet so DH can't feel much.
sounds like a good night plate I was "watching" the Killing too last night...well snoozing more than watching!
mummy i have three different due dates too. The ones from the private scans don't match the NHS one. So I think I have the 3rd, 5th and 9th and they are going with the 9th.
Happy Saturday everyone, feels a bit spring like this morning smile smile

mummytobejuly2014 Sat 01-Mar-14 11:30:55

coco each scan gives an earlier date. Our little man is growing maybe a little too well. like the idea of 5th of july than 11th. would hate to wait 2wks past 11th sad feels like forever already. little man kicking like man this morn, doesnt waste time telling me if im making him uncomfortable

Plateofcrumbs Sat 01-Mar-14 11:36:36

House needs a good tidy and I've got work to do (big scary presentation on Monday I need to prep). However having been cheated out of my taramasalata and TV fest last night am tempted to just resume where I left off....

elliejjtiny Sat 01-Mar-14 11:39:38

Marking my place on the new thread

ismarah it shouldn't be up to the geneticist what kind of birth you have, it's between you and the obstetrician

coco hen night sounds like a nightmare but you might be surprised. I went to the baby show last Saturday and I was dreading the long train journey, the walking around etc but I really enjoyed it, although felt so tired and achy the next day.

re baby shopping I'm nearly done. Finally convinced DH that we need a new buggy. I wanted a brand new phil and teds dot and he wanted the cheapest thing he could find. We ended up with a 2nd hand phil and teds explorer on ebay. It's got to last 4 years and will have a 5 year old and a 4 year old in it at the end so hope it's not too old. Got myself 2 of those little changing wallets that you put in your main changing bag or handbag. Going into town today to get a nice big handbag from accessorize to use as a changing bag. Just need a new dressing gown and slippers for my hospital bag, a car seat, first outfit for baby and his/her first cuddly toy.

22+0

MrsB2013 Sat 01-Mar-14 11:40:17

It's only been the last few days I've felt it, I'm surprised it's so strong as the placenta is at the front.

My early scan 8 weeks measured me at 28th June, the 12 week scan is 1st July which is exact for my dates, but 20 week scan he measured a week ahead on his big belly, which is on the 95th percentile shock

ellentullo Sat 01-Mar-14 20:10:52

Thought I was out of the woods with the heartburn but had a bad do last night, recurring when I tried to have toast this morning. Feel v hungry but heartburn really is unpleasant!

icklekid Sun 02-Mar-14 06:24:53

ellen gaviscon is your friend! I only get it occasionally but is a life saver if you get it a lot doc can prescribe so free!

Went to kiddicare expectant parents event last night which was great quite quiet and 10% off. Got dh to finally start thinking about pushchairs. We tested to see if we could put up abd down without being shown by shop person as the yes/no test. So hard to know how much to spend. I would love an uppababy vista but when looking in the shop I can't justify why it's wirth £200 more than oyster or affinity. Then there was a graco evo in last year's colours for a bargain (£200 cheaper than oyster et al) but I keep thinking it's too cheap! Sorry more a need to get it all out post! Have done loads of research online, read hundreds of reviews but still struggling. Will go to mamas and papas and confuse myself more by adding more into the mix!

MrsB2013 Sun 02-Mar-14 12:48:43

Ellie where did you get the changing wallets from? I'm thinking of using a normal bag as a changing bag

Urgh heartburn is horrible, I have some gaviscon but don't really like it, its so thick and gloopy!

AuntieMaggie Sun 02-Mar-14 13:12:14

ickle I am with you in the hell that is choosing a pushchair... and a car seat... I have spent the morning looking at reviews on Which (as stepping into an actual shop sends me into a panic) and its just made it worse! Have you seen the safety reviews for car seats? Its frightening! How can they score so low?

I just want a reasonably priced pushchair that I can use with the car, on public transport, on long walks, with a carrycot and maybe car seat if needed... you'd think this would be easy!

Boogles91 Sun 02-Mar-14 13:37:33

Im due in the 16th july smile and my bdays on the 10th hehe x

liquidstate Sun 02-Mar-14 14:22:48

Ickle I was all for a silver cross wayfarer but on the spur of the moment we went for the Britax affinity in the end. Nearly had the oyster but the affinity frame was lighter and I have back problems.

Stupid question alert - do the kicks feel like hiccups in the belly?? If so I have definite kicks.

So tired, currently sleeping for 5 hours during the day and from 9pm till 4am at night.
