Still no scan date sad Had my booking appt on Wed and she said it would be in the post this week. I'm so impatient! 9+3 today so 12 weeks isn't that far off and I wanna know!

MarlenaGru Sat 09-Nov-13 14:18:22

Welcome newbies!

carks you are not alone. I sobbed my way through an insurance seminar recently. hmm

Penguin13 Sat 09-Nov-13 14:27:24

My 12 week scan is actually a just over 13 week scan on 22 Nov so 13 days to go but who's counting? Would rather have been closer to 12 weeks or earlier! but oh well. Quite looking forward to at least knowing there really is a baby in there and that I haven't just been imagining everything. I do have this irrational fear that they're going to tell me I've just been eating too many doughnuts or something smile

hackneybird Sat 09-Nov-13 14:32:31

Welcome Carks and Gruffalo.

Welcome Carks and Gruffalo.
I'm 8 weeks today, due date 19th June and been feeling awful. Yesterday was having terrible cramps and realised that had I not been pregnant I would be due my period so not sure if a coincidence with cramps.
Took ds to football this morning and got talking to another mum who turned out is also due her 3rd, feeling awful and has same due date!

Stacks Sat 09-Nov-13 14:46:00

Afternoon. Checking into the new thread. I'm still suffering with nausea, but it's not too bad really. I've put on 2kg already though!

For those thinking about maternity jeans, have you tried the hairband trick? Put a hairband through the button home of your jeans and button up into that - instant stretchy pants smile

My scan is on 10th dec. Ages to wait, it'll be early too at 11+3, that's not too early is it?

cheesysmile Sat 09-Nov-13 14:50:39

Welcome to the new ladies! smile

My scan is two weeks Monday and I can't wait. By my reckoning I'll be 12+2. I do have a similar silly fear to penguin that they'll say err no you're not pregnant you crazy lady! Although rationally I've had 4 positive tests and no periods but hey who's rationale?!

carrie105 Sat 09-Nov-13 14:52:51

Hi carks and Gruffalow!

12 weeks scan on the 18th for me at 11+6.

It will be my first scan and I am very surprised at how quickly it has actually come around.

MTMD Sat 09-Nov-13 15:52:41

Is anyone else sleeping for 2/3? smile I slep for 13 hours tonight (8pm - 9am) and then just over 3 more hours now O_o Whats going on??? blush

MyNameIsWinkly Sat 09-Nov-13 16:07:43

Hi, just marking my place. My 12 week scan won't be for ages yet.

seatfor5 Sat 09-Nov-13 16:30:57

Welcome to the new ladies smile

MTMD I know its stupid all I seem to do is want to sleep! i got up at 10.30 and have so wanted to go back to bed for the last hour blush

Cherryjellybean Sat 09-Nov-13 17:06:12

Welcome new ladies!!
I am another who is loving sleep! I fell asleep at 9 last night and woke at 7.30 when my dd woke - a good two hours longer than normal! Then when dd naps i try have a small hour nap smile

CleverOl10 Sat 09-Nov-13 17:14:01

Got up at 10, spent a few hours with DS, then collapsed on sofa and just woke up from three hour nap. So much work to do but just no energy to move. Hoping energy kicks in later today or tomorrow as I have hours of marking to do. sad

MTMD Sat 09-Nov-13 17:26:25

Gosh I'm so glad I'm not alone like this!!

Feeling so grateful to my DH who's doing everything at the moment while I'm lying in a sofa feeling sorry for myself brew

Liquidambar Sat 09-Nov-13 17:38:07

Marking my place.

Had some friends over for lunch and ate loads! ! Feeling pretty rubbish now: nauseous and exhausted (after a sleepless night)

Thank God is still Saturday and I have one more day before work.

Mitchell hope you'll have a nice flight

12 week scan will be in 4 weeks. .. seems such a long time.

Emmazers Sat 09-Nov-13 17:39:44

Sleeping at least 10 hours every night and often making it no further than the sofa (if that!) for the rest of the day. I don't want to wish my life away but I really can't wait for this nausea-fatigue BS to be over with! sad

Stacks I am already using the hairband trick blush, it does work though!

Anyone else getting really weird dreams? I remember this with DD too, every night I just have the weirdest, most vivid dreams. Some are pretty scary! Thank goodness I keep waking up to pee!

Emmazers Sat 09-Nov-13 17:58:24

Crazy vivid dreams here too Nessie

So envious of you ladies having amazing amazing nights sleep.
I have no problem getting to sleep, can barely keep my eyes open past 7pm then awake half the night. Ds has always been an early riser and doesn't have a nap anymore so it's one full on day.
Just feel wrecked.
Due back to work on Monday after a week off sick and dreading it. I only work 3 days so think I just need to suck it up and get on with it, maybe a full day at work will help with better nights sleep?

Liquidambar Sat 09-Nov-13 18:18:02

crazy dreams here too. The worst thing is that I wake up, go to the loo but once I return to bed I continue the same dream because it was so vivid shock

CleverOl10 Sat 09-Nov-13 18:35:04

ohclutter I actually find that work days go faster and I have less time to feel poorly because I'm so busy. Hope things turn out similar for you.

Notfastmainlyfurious Sat 09-Nov-13 19:22:37

Clutter I'm actually finding it easier at work than home atm, it's a desk job though so I get to sit on my butt and eat biscuits which is a lot easier than toddler taming.

Still haven't phoned the mw so no booking in or scan dates yet. Keep putting it off but will definitely get onto it Monday probably

Thanks notfast and clever. You may be right as being off sick has been making me feel really stressed.
The only thing is my job is very physical and I'm in and out the office carrying equipment. I've not told my manager but going to when I return and tell her how I'm struggling at the moment.

cheesysmile Sat 09-Nov-13 20:02:49

A big yes me too on the vivid dreams front ... they are so real and kinda odd at the moment! Didn't realise that was a pregnancy thing.

Hope Monday goes ok for you ohclutter.

Penguin13 Sat 09-Nov-13 20:18:33

Vivid dreams here too. And sooooooooo weepy. I cried at Strictly today blush
