ooh new thread! We are chatterboxes!grin

GillyBillyWilly Sat 09-Nov-13 11:03:37

Yes we are!

11 days til my scan... Woop woop grin

Emmazers Sat 09-Nov-13 11:05:36

Ooh isn't it roomy in here. Thanks Gilly smile

Yesterday was my worst day yet so far at 7+2. Stayed in bed with bucket nearby and headache all freaking day! Cheered up by pizza for dinner though. Terrible night's sleep again thanks to toddler nightmares but woke up feeling a lot better though.

We must have some folk coming up to their 12 week scans soon. How exciting! Who's first?

MarlenaGru Sat 09-Nov-13 11:09:22

Wow 12 week scans already!! Desperate for mine to hurry up.

I am starting to think I should do the harmony test. £400 is a lot of money but the added peace of mind is so appealing. I really want to be able to get excited about a baby!

MTMD Sat 09-Nov-13 11:11:37

Morning all!

Not feeling my very best this morning.. Sickness is back and funny tummy. Might end up in bed for most of the day..

GillyBillyWilly Sat 09-Nov-13 11:15:21

Has anyone got their 12 week scan this week coming??

LadyGoneGaga Sat 09-Nov-13 11:21:58

Nope, I've got my 7 week scan on Monday though!

Mitchell2 Sat 09-Nov-13 11:42:17

Morning all, feeling super crap today and have a 7 hour flight in store as I'm going away for work for a week. Never used a sick bag in my life but have the fear am going to need one today.

marlena I booked the panorama test which is similar to harmony, but can be done after 9 weeks not 10. I do it shortly after I get back from my trip. My scan is in a month - there was no way on earth I was gluing to wait that long!

wispaxmas Sat 09-Nov-13 12:00:02

Gilly, I have mine on Friday grin grin grin

In the car on the way to Essex for a wedding this afternoon, what crummy weather! Feeling stuffy and congested, but no nausea or anything, and I had a lovely lie in this morning, so hopefully I'll last the night!

GillyBillyWilly Sat 09-Nov-13 12:02:47

Oooooh wispa! I wonder if you're first smile

wispaxmas Sat 09-Nov-13 12:06:39

I might be, i'm only going to be 11+3 at the scan, though!

GillyBillyWilly Sat 09-Nov-13 12:19:52

Mine is on wed 20th and by my calculations I will only be 11+2!
So I'm very interested to see how yours goes on friday! I'm sure everything will be perfect smile
Not long to wait!

jaykay987 Sat 09-Nov-13 12:24:10

Ooh...twelve week scans. Super exciting.

I've booked harmony so will get a quick scan at 10w+3 and the nuchal at 12w+3. FX the results are ok, as we are getting them...........Christmas eve!

Anyone who's gone private.....did you cancel your nhs scan? I don't have a scan yet as think it will follow booking in on 22nd. I don't want to waste resources...nor have to make even more excuses to get out of work....but not sure how this goes down with the hospital. I want to have the baby there...so need to be on their register etc.

superlambanana Sat 09-Nov-13 12:34:55

X-posted with Gilly on last thread so I'll summarise:

Still feel sick.
DH out all day and eve.
House a tip and dog needs a bath.
Have a bump which is probably 0.01% baby and 99.99% food / bloat.

What's the Harmony test?

SicknSpan Sat 09-Nov-13 12:45:53

Hi all, hope things well. Just marking my place.

LadyGoneGaga Sat 09-Nov-13 12:54:02

Jaykay the NHS ask you to cancel if you have a private scan - they only do it for the due date and will take the report from your private one. Although they offer a nuchal it isn't compulsory.

I still don't have a date for my 12 week scan - I can't remember whether I have had a date through before booking in before or not?

hackneybird Sat 09-Nov-13 12:58:23

I'm 9 weeks today and I am feeling utterly shocking. Supposed to to be taking DS to a birthday party for one of his nursery pals but I don't think I can physically do it........

MTMD Sat 09-Nov-13 13:00:31

My scan is not until December and I'll be 12+5 then. Ughhh bring it on!!!!

Snowlet Sat 09-Nov-13 13:02:45

I'm craving a breakfast wrap that is only served in one cafe in Manhattan.... and it's driving me bonkers. I might try to recreate it, but it won't be the same.

Pregnancy is ridiculous.

thegruffalow Sat 09-Nov-13 13:03:59

Hi! I was directed here by the lovely Emmazers when i shared my news that i am pregnant.

i think i am 8 weeks and 5 days (but the pregnancy calculator thing re: first day of last period says i am 10 weeks and 2 days).

edd is either 2nd or 16th of June. my scan is on the 21st of November.

x

superlambanana Sat 09-Nov-13 13:16:44

Welcome gruffalow!

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine. My breakfast just decided it missed me and wanted to say hi again sad I think DH thinks I am overreacting / being pathetic...

I have decided to book a cleaner as I can no longer stand the mess!! My aim for today is to make a list of what needs to be cleaned and strike at least two things off it.

Hope all the other MS-suffering ladies are feeling okay!

Carks31 Sat 09-Nov-13 13:29:09

Hello all,

Can I tag along?

My due date is currently 18 June, so I'm 8+3. Dare I say it. . . I'm not suffering too much with nausea, but I've had a horrific cold for almost two weeks now that's showing no signs of shifting any time soon and has completely knocked me.

Got my booking appointment on 19 Nov which is when I'll be given my scan date. Bit of a worrier and this is my first, so I'm just wishing the days away until the scan so we can (hopefully) breathe a sigh of relief and start sharing our news. Only parents and 2 close friends know as of yet, and my line manager for some understanding that I'm not being soft by having 4 of the last 10 working days off sick with a cold and two mornings out this past month with cryptic doctors appointments about vague subjects! Luckily, I'm close with her and she's very understanding.

Oh, and anyone else crying at every fecking thing they watch/ hear/ read about?! I'm a wreck.

Emmazers Sat 09-Nov-13 14:09:39

Welcome Carks and Gruffalo! smile

Just so you know Gruffalo is yet another person who Gin and I know from the forum we met on 10 years ago. Must be something in the water wink

Bezzabelle Sat 09-Nov-13 14:14:30

Gilly, my scan is on 20th too! Ill be 12+1 I think.
